this site's recruiting rankings are an absolute JOKE for dropping Drake like a rock, simply for having the gaul to commit to UK football. Kid tore it up at the best of the Midwest last wk, but not in the rivals.com top 250.

No doubt this statement will hurt his offers and therefore his ranking even more. He only had offers from two of the NC finalists so he already has dropped a lot, LOL. UK getting early commits has hurt our recruiting rankings quite a bit, even though when our staff finds a prospect it seems a lot of the powers suddenly become very interested.

A good sign.

It is a joke. If he were to commit to Alabama or Ohio State today, he would be a Rivals 5-star tomorrow.

It is laughable the way they treat our commits.

I just dig up video elsewhere, look at the offers reported, and listen to our coaches' comments after NSD. I feel that generally tells me all I need to know. Trying to quantify the quality of a recruiting class is an exercise in Mad Science. You can look at the program's needs, then look at the kids based on measurables, video, and apparent staff satisfaction with the gets after NSD, and draw your only conclusions as to whether your program has landed a class that might be considered poor, average, good, better, or among the best.

Worrying about who is 1st as opposed to 8th, or 27th as opposed to 37th, according to the "experts" is a bit of a joke.

This is THE PERFECT REASON why you should not judge these kids on this rankings , but almost SOLEY on who offers and even then lots of these kids don't pan out...Football recruiting is not like recruiting basketball players...Players can develop at a much higher rate than basketball guys do...

Drake is the most important piece of the 2016 class. Not only for his talents but also for his leadership in trying to organize a great 2016 class. He's a classy kid and I'm excited that he'll be representing UK/Kentucky in the future.

I have always believed Rivals caters to the fanbases with the largest number of subscribers. Some of our more vocal posters have gotten week long bans for argueing with Woody when he visits our site. The main reason so far is Woody's constant defending of the Hurd kid who went to UT over Chubb who plays for us last year, in spite of Chubb being faster, stronger and outperforming him at every camp. His sole reason was Chubb played against weak HS competition, meanwhile Hurd sat out the season injured but still passed him in the rankings. We had 5 posters get week long bans. This season, one of the guys who committed to us in the summer and has seen his rankings drop every ranking, because Woody saw him play DE one game, the guy is an OT. It is what it is, we want our guys to get better rankings, we need to get more subscribers. Ole Bert at Arky has accused Sgt Carter at UT of begging Rivals to give his commits higher rankings and it seems to be working.

Our board is basketball heavy no doubt, but Kentucky and FSU are the crown jewels for Yahoo. If it was about traffic and placating large subscriber bases you'd think we'd be doing better than we are. Might be our fan bases nature though, we tend to be likely to give you hits if you trash us than if you praise us hahaha!

Say something bad about UK and a million UK fans rush to the defense, say something good about UK and we ignore it.

so ohio state and bama offer as a jr. florida and scar offer after jr season. wins mvp of best of the midwest..... and he drops out of the top 250? there are guys that get overrated that need to be downgraded as the process goes but geeze. how does the #1 center in the country go to camp and blow everyone away and get downgraded?

main reason im not on rivals as much as i used to be is because of this nonsense. 22 positions on a football team. top 10 at each position gets you to 220. throw in a few specialist and bumper crops of rb, wr, or whatever for that year gets you to 250.

National consensus 5* player, but barely managed 3* from rivals. As he had Saban, Urban, Florida, Notre Dame killing themselves to get him.
