Signing with an agent and staying in the draft per tweet from Evan Daniels.

The NBA so needs him. Wonder how Pat Forde feels?:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

As he 100% should. I'm sure Pitino tried his best to get him to return and be the next Montrezl Harrell, who gave up millions in guaranteed money that comes with being a first round draft pick in order to prove he was Louisville first. Even when he was being projected as possibly being a lottery pick in the 2014 NBA Draft!

Thanks to him foregoing all of those guaranteed millions of dollars, UL will be able to celebrate the elite 8 he led them to in the 14-15 season after defeating a murderous stretch of impossible games against UC Irvine, Northern Iowa, and NC State in the tournament after deciding to throw away guaranteed millions of dollars. They'll have that elite 8 FOREVER now!

What a great guy and bright decision maker. Who needs to be a first round pick when you have the opportunity to spend another year in Louisville with Rick Pitino! Especially considering that because of him they'll be able to celebrate that elite 8 for the rest of time!

I'm sure Montrez will never question his decision for the rest of his life. Giving Pitino that Elite 8 was worth more than any amount of money he could have made :)

All in my completely worthless opinion as always.

Huge blow to UofL for next season. Losing him, Johnson and possibly Deng Adel would mean Quentin Snyder will be their top returning player. I can't see UofL as a pre-season Top 10 team if that happens.

Not quite as L1C4 as was previously reported, I suppose.

Losing Johnson, Deng Adell, and Mitchell puts Louisville out of the top 25 and a bubble team to even make the tournament, IMO.

Pitino doesn't possess the talent to take a raw young player and turn them into a superstar by years end like Calipari. He needs his system players to return in large numbers to ever make some noise.

Without those 3 it is going to be an UGLY season for UL. Pitino needs to either go hide out at the Cleveland Clinic or finally retire ASAP.

I SERIOUSLY don't see Quentin Snyder and what they have returning being enough for them to make the tournament. I'd bet Pitino expected to lose one of those 3 AT MOST. Losing all 3? Bad, bad news...

Now that Donovan Mitchell is gone to NBA and Jaylen Johnson to Yugoslavia..the pickings are looking mighty slim at Little Brother..of course Coach P will pull some McDonalds' AA outta his butt and save the day..NOT..
Is Bamba looking at Loserville..I think not..San Quentin Snider better turn into a dynamic player overnite[laughing][laughing] or the Red Pigeons become a bubble team..Ain't life great in Louisville..well if you are a
horse racing fan but college basketball..not so good..

Without those 3, they return 1 full time starter in Quentin Snider (31.3 mpg), and 3 players that averaged over 10 mpg and started occasionally in Ray Spaulding (19.2 mpg - 8 starts), Anus Mahmoud (18.7 mpg - 15 starts), and VJ King (13.5 - 7 starts).

Despite their recruiting class not making the top 35 in 2016, they managed to land the #7 overall class in 2017 so far.

The class includes exactly ONE 4* player ranked under #90 in the #27 overall rated PF Malik Williams who looks like to be a decent prospect. Pitino will need him to be the next Mashburn next year.

Starting Lineup:
Quentin Snyder
Jay Henderson
VJ King
Ray Spaulding
Anus Mahmoud
Bench:
Malik Williams
Matz Stockman

Damn. That looks really depressing. That would give UL exactly 1 player in Snider that would even make our top 10 assuming we land Diallo, Bamba, and Johnson as expected.

GREAT time to retire if Adel is also leaving as rumored for Pitino. That's not a team capable of winning 20 games unless I'm missing something...

All in my completely worthless opinion as always.

Even with Adel back they aren't scaring anybody, especially in Rupp Arena. Slick is gonna slide out the back door soon and blame it all on 911.

glad pitino cant waste his youth like he did montrezl

A cousin of mine (who is an idiot, so take with a grain of salt) said according to Deng Adele's instagram, he may be gone too. I can't see his instagram because I don't follow him but do any of you Louisville fans have insight to that? If they both leave that's a huge hit but I wouldn't bet on the Adele rumor. Who knows. Either way, this is going to be tough for pitino to overcome no matter how talented a guy is he may bring in because he's shown freshman just don't thrive under him.

They are not(just) a basketball school. They house student athletes that like low caliber hoes. The hoes are required to read,"How to be a hoe," by Eddy Murphy's character on SNL.

Blueisback and cardsstink both posted Deng Adel was also leaving. That's all I know about that. I do not follow their team's going ons. It took a lot of research to even find who they have on their roster. Before this thread, I could've only named Snider and King. Snider due to him being a good player and King due to him being a 5* player that is being horribly underutilized by Pitino.

Johnson's gone too? That would mean they are losing Mitchell, Mathiang, Hicks, Stockman, and Johnson. We are smoking them next season.

If there's something to this Deng rumor, UK may be returning as much college experience in Cameron Johnson, Gabriel, SKJ, Tai, and Diallo's half semester. Ha ha!

I know, that isn't as much as UL, it is more of a joke, but would probably be the closest we have come to matching the experience UL routinely returns compared to UK. If all of this takes place.

You're getting ahead of yourself. ON paper they do not look great but Snider, King, Spalding, Adel and Anus is a solid start.
I see Spalding having a big yr,

They have two more top 75 FR coming in aside from Williams that you did not include. May not contribute but who knows.

Jay Henderson is transferring lol

Stockman and Henderson are transferring? LOL! It keeps getting better. According to rivals, their class included #27 overall with all others being #90 and higher.

Snider, King, Spalding, Anus, possibly Deng Adell, and a recruiting class with one player ranked above #90 (Williams @ #27), and that is a solid start?

I fear you are in for some bad times. Snider, King, and Williams are nice players that Pitino should be relying on every season, but he should be relying on an entire roster of such players, instead of merely 3. That's the problem...

4 or 5 returning players, 1 4* FR. Possibly only 1 returning starter. That's not a team Pitino can win with. Snider, King, 2 role players, possibly a 3rd in Adell, and a 4* PF. A 6 man rotation?

Looks like the worst team Pitino has had since taking over at UL. Hope I'm wrong for your sake.

All in my completely worthless opinion as always.
