Taken back to locker room. Knee or ankle? I couldn't discern. Hope he'll be okay. Much pain.

Looked like an ankle. If it's the infamous "high ankle sprain", might be out a month. Hopefully it's not worse than a sprain.

Matt Jones said looked like a knee. Most posters I've seen think ankle. We shall see. Either way hope not serious. A sprained ankle is how I tore my ACL in 95. Ankle went causing knee to go.

Ankle. They just said. Had to be taken to the locker room in a wheelchair.

I hope he will be ok.

On the bright side guard is a position we are pretty deep and set at anyways so we can just play Murray and Ulis and Briscoe the minutes Hawkins would normally get.

UKCoachCalipari updates on Dom Hawkins' status: He hurt his ankle. They said he's going to be fine.

glad that it sounds like nothing is broken. However, that had to be one of the most bizarre injury sequences ever. If you have it DVR'd, go back and slo-mo through it. Dom's right foot appears to violently separate the Ole Miss player's right ankle joint. To watch it is to be more concerned for the Ole Miss player, and for very good reason. The cause of Dominique's left ankle injury is not clear, other than maybe he got too low on it, put too much of his own body weight on it, rolled it so fast you can't tell.

Welp, who's next? Which player hasn't missed a game? Someone put Murray in bubble wrap, fast.

These injuries are infuriating at this point. If Kentucky went the next 5 years without any significant injury, it still wouldn't be enough.

Good to hear it's not broken. Ulis has become pretty much a 40 min guy this year. Murray and Briscoe aren't far behind. There won't be a lot of mins for Dom, but it sure will be nice to have him when we need him. Hope he heals quick!

Murray is close to a 40 minute man but Dom has a ton of minutes as Briscoe's lack of shooting from the line and 3 have made way for a lot of minutes for Dom. Briscoe is the one player who is sorta in the dog house and it is own making as he shot great from the line and good from distance in HS and the all star games. It is all in his head.

Pretty scary. What my fear is that it seems that sometimes a high ankle sprain is almost worse than, and takes more time to heal than a broken bone, ala Keith Bogans.
Hoping for the best for Dom, he was showing signs of playing like we knew he could.

GO CATS
