I learned a long time ago... Sometimes the truth just hurts.. I felt for the longest he was UK bound wuth Bama closing in but the way we ended the season and Bama ended the season, it has to make a strong statement to him to look more closely and consider them a little more...
The only thing UK offers is the closeness he has stated he has with the UK coaches and major, major playing time his freshman year and it is close to home for his family...I hope that is e-nuff to sway him to UK!!!!!
I am an old SE Kentucky boy, myself, but your opinions and lack of facts are starting to irritate me, and it seems to me you are full of them.
UK is the favorite now in most peoples opinions, and OSU isn't even in the running according to some of these same people, didn't they just sign a RB? Doesn't Bama have a four and five star coming in early in this class, the five star a 6' 2" 232# one with a 4.5 forty, along with FOUR 6.0s from the 13 class, Humongous Henry among them? Do you think the NFL won't be able to find him if he goes to UK, aren't we FINALLY getting top facilities with a S&C coach that the NFL comes to ask his secrets? Don't we play in the SEC, and with the talent Stoops is bringing in shouldn't there be plenty of competition in BOTH the games and the practices? What do you think we are, a City College?
There are LOTS of good reasons for playing for HOME STATE U, and with the players Stoops is bringing in (and Harris would give that a boost) he will have pllenty of support, playing in front of friends and FAMILY without having to travel thousands of miles every weekend (like BW's dearly beloved mother), more business opportunities even if he doesn't star in the NFL. He will help recruiting and be a hero here just by commiting to us, expecially to friends and family.
And sorry, while he is a great football player and very important to UKand its fans he is now ranked in the thirties in the top 100, and is the 2nd best RB with a third (240 pounder commited to FSU) close behind, I guarantee you that Couch was not only ranked higher in his class, IIRC he also averaged close to 30 points in basketball. And the Golden Boy was a national name that did EVERYTHING in football, including winning NFL championships.
Don't use the "ever" word if you are talking about in your lifetime, and even that isn't true, how about the MVP in the NFL that came from Kentucky, besides Hornung.
I think Bama ended the season just like UK did, with a loss, and they way used (misused) their RBs should have made him less likely to go there if he was watching closely, and I'm sure he was.
If he doesn't sign with UK I will be very disappointed, and very disappointed in him.
