Its in his blood, among other things, but i find it hard to believe he walks away on the worst note permanently.

Really doubt that he does,Rick has burned the candle at both ends with a flame thrower for a long time.You have to wonder how many years he has left.

He's done. Too much crud in his background at UL now for anyone to want to touch him (maybe that was a bad choice of words?). He'll find a job at ESPN being some sort of amazing analyst or something like that, but I doubt we ever see him coach at a major program again. Plus, he looks like he is ready to be the next host for Tales From The Crypt.
I could see him as an assistant at Minnesota. It might help to rehabilitate his scummy reputation, if he spent the last few years of his coaching career trying to help his son.
Not sure about the analyst gig. Remember when he sort of got into it with Barkley during an NCAA tourney show a few years ago? Don’t remember the teams but Pitino “guaranteed” one of the teams wouldn’t lose. Of course, they did, and Pitino came off looking pretty dumb, as well as smug, arrogant, and sniveling. Yeah, but I'm talking ESPN where they don't have standards. If he got into it with Barkley, it was TNT. ESPN just goes for drama so he would fit in well there.
