After this game we are 89th at Kenpom in that category, and we have wins over teams with offensive efficiency ratings of 3, 7 and 12.

It’s important. But you don’t win championships in this day and age without being great offensively. You’d much rather have the offensive efficiency and try to figure something out game to game defensively.

KenPomPom is fake numbers. He doesn’t count offensive rebounds as a possession.

Fl had what, 15 offensive rebounds today?

That’s 15 more possessions that kenpompom says didn’t happen.

Nerd numbers don’t matter anyway. The nerds are figuring while players are playing.

But that’s just blatantly wrong to not count possessions.

But I know how to make a little money using kenpompom numbers to bet! Start with a lot!!💰😜

The defensive teams out there, like Iowa State and Houston, they look to be the kind of team that could potentially be a true bad matchup with UK, but I love our offense so much, and have much confidence the defensive rating will improve. So maybe it doesn't really matter that much in the modern game, as it stands.

I'm not sure, but I am rather wary of the grind it out teams that can clamp down defensively.

Let's see how well our men improve at that as we continue league play. That may be the difference in winning the SEC regular season this year, just getting better defensively, for this team.

Loving it so far !

Of course it is. No team has won the title being over 30th in kempom defensively. Or something close to that. Can't remember off the top of my head. In the 80s is awful.
