Anthony Davis includes DeMarcus Cousins in NBA Championship celebration
Cousins will be eligible for a ring having spent time with the Lakers this season.

Word is they plan to sign him again next season and was already talked about among both parties, barring something unexpected.
Makes sense. Lebron, AD, and Rondo all want to play with him. AD doesn't want to play center and Howard won't cut it long term.
Hes just well past his prime is all. He's a great bench player for a championship caliber team. IF DeMarcus is healthy he is a star starting caliber center for a championship caliber team. They can also get him cheap so it's really a low risk high reward situation. Cousins really wants to be part of a winning team as well so it's good for him.Why won't Dwight Howard cut it long term? I mean, he did prove to be a non-issue team chemistry wise and might sign elsewhere, but he clearly helped the Lakers.
Hope Boogie does in fact sign with the Lakers...glad to hear he will be eligible for a ring.

👍FWIW, regardless of whether he receives a ring or not, I'm not planning on adding him to the list of UK players who won an NBA championship.

Cousins signed with the Lakers and was with the team, although he never played a regulation game. Even after he was cut the Lakers allowed him to continue to use the facilities etc. so he's certainly in good graces.
Normally for someone who never actually played any games for the team I would say he shouldn't get a ring. But at the end of the day it's the team's decision and if Anthony Davis wants it to happen, I'm sure he can make it happen.

If he does get a ring though, you might want to make a note of it and provide a brief explanation of your reasoning as to why he isn't included. It might save you the trouble of having to answer the question "Why isn't Cousins listed with the champs? He has a ring!" over and over and over.
By the way, I love your site. Thank you. You're a credit to the entire sport.
Did Gerald Fitch get a ring in 2006 with the Heat? I know he played before getting traded.
I hope Boogie makes a comeback. If healthy, he can ball and is a great teammate. The Ky way.
JP, your website serves us all and is FREE. So no one should object.FWIW, regardless of whether he receives a ring or not, I'm not planning on adding him to the list of UK players who won an NBA championship.
He was still using the facilities. I wonder if he played any scout team during practice, how involved he was in team meetings, workouts etc since it is assumed he is resigning w the Lakers. If he was practicing against the starters and working out/drilling w the team than I think he deserves a ring bc better competition in practice keeps the starters sharp. As a competitor, why would you claim a championship ring when you had no part in winning it?
Ditto. That sure is a nice promotional piece.
