on Cal? go with me here for second with this traditionally great conspiracy theory . Cal couldn't watch Skal , no one could. all the guys rating players knew Cal would want the top big. so to get Cal they rank a pretty bad big 1 so Cal would grab him. sounds logical to me. then all the good bigs commit so Cal is scrambling he starts hearing of these huge accomplishment by this giant Aussie just destroying people. so like Skal never really besides YouTube mix tapes seen Hump play. but the writers and those in the know say he is a top get. So Cal takes the bait again. then one day a story of a wood chopping monster comes over the lines. Cal needs a big and the more he reads of this giant chopping a tree down with a single swing once again he never has seen the kid play but those in the know assure Cal he is good, so Cal throws him a scholly.
of course I'm being sarcastic . I think Cal just got caught with guys going to other schools so he took what was available . what does kinda bother me is if he needs a scholly for a better player , will Cal pull. crean and run the kid off? I love having top talent like the next guy , but if a kid commits I believe we owe him time to develop .
