We have one of the fastest teams in college basketball and these guys, ALL, play defense with their feet... I think Cal keeps ahead of the curve... In another thread, the OP posted a thread about how that UL's fans were complaining about the the no touching rules... What they really mean, is the no mugging rules.... This is how basketball is meant to be played, with athletes, not professionals wrestlers... Pitino will be in trouble with these rules.....

NCAA wants more points scored across the board. Dropping the shot clock, actually enforcing touch fouls - all these things will ultimately add to a better game because they bend the advantage to the more talented team, however slight it might seem to us right now.

UK is averaging about 81 points/game right now. I actually expect that number to hold up at the season moves forward and the offense becomes even more cohesive. That said, I feel like in reference to your question, Cal simply recruits the best players possible. I feel like he's hoping they actually enforce the touch fouls for once because it would have been benefitted all of his teams, including this one.

He tried to take advantage of the new rules when they were supposed to be implemented in 2013, with the Harrisons. They were foul magnets even with the old rules, they'd go to the line 15 times a game now that they've actually started calling the rules as written. That being said, Cal's philosophy has always been drive drive drive... might get a layup, might get a foul, might kick it out for a 3... all good things. The new calls only help Cal.

No. I actually think that Cal teaches genuine defensive techniques.
Not the Karate defense that's used a few miles up the road...
