I have no statistical data to prove this so I only know what my eyes tell me but it just seems like we play better away. Maybe I'm crazy but it seems that way to me.
Of UF’s 6 losses in the Swamp, since 2018, two were to us, one to UGA (the sources show the 2020 game played in Gainesville, not Jacksonville), one to Bama by two points, one to Mizzou, and one to LSU.I have no statistical data to prove this so I only know what my eyes tell me but it just seems like we play better away. Some teams definitely do; UK seems like one of them.I have no statistical data to prove this so I only know what my eyes tell me but it just seems like we play better away. Maybe I'm crazy but it seems that way to me.
Lets pretend Kentucky isnt ranked as high as we have been in 45 yrs and lets pretend that UK doesnt have the best D, best QB, best RB and best WR corp and definitely the best coach UK has ever had. Lets pretend that UK doesn't lead the nation in consecutive OOC wins with 19 and is 2nd behind only Clemson (10) with an 8 game overall win streak. Not against teams in the west. Stats back that up.
And last time we lost to Missouri was on the road.
South Carolina too.
But sure, let's pretend we do.
Absolutely true.Of UF’s 6 losses in the Swamp, since 2018, two were to us, one to UGA (the sources show the 2020 game played in Gainesville, not Jacksonville), one to Bama by two points, one to Mizzou, and one to LSU.
Let’s just say we are playing better on the road over the last 6 seasons than we have since Bear Bryant coached here.
I also think that good defense travels well , of course that goes hand in hand with physicality imo .We are a good road team because we are physical, and physicality travels well. Ole Miss is nowhere near as intimidating as the Swamp. So the crowd shouldn't be a huge factor. I expect there will be quite a bit of blue in the stadium as well.
How has he done with teams full of veterans, and talented true freshmen...and a sure fire NFL quarterback?Stoops is 0-10 on the road vs SEC West schools. Not sure where you’re going with this.
I’m not badmouthing him. He’s my favorite UK coach ever — in any sport. I just think it’s funny that someone thinks we play better on the road. Historically, that’s not true. Recently, that’s not true. This year, with one road game played, it’s true. Hopefully, tomorrow, it becomes a trend. How has he done with teams full of veterans, and talented true freshmen...and a sure fire NFL quarterback?
That's fair. I just think long term historical "records" aren't that relevant given where we were and how far we've come. As you know, this is a much different KY team from previous eras.I’m not badmouthing him. He’s my favorite UK coach ever — in any sport. Yes absolutely Kentucky plays better on the road. I haven't seen ky beatdown in a while on the road.
The Bama game we had like 25-30 players out with Covid protocol. I will give you the Florida game. We’re talking about this year anyway. The players have even mentioned they like going on the road. That’s a sign of a mature football team. So far our results this year on the road speak for themselvesI mean 2020 at alabama and at Florida back to back wasn't that long ago.

We pretend about worse things today! Not against teams in the west. Stats back that up.
And last time we lost to Missouri was on the road.
South Carolina too.

Apparently not.I have no statistical data to prove this so I only know what my eyes tell me but it just seems like we play better away. Maybe I'm crazy but it seems that way to me.
I'd probably keep pretending...Lets pretend Kentucky isnt ranked as high as we have been in 45 yrs and lets pretend that UK doesnt have the best D, best QB, best RB and best WR corp and definitely the best coach UK has ever had. Stop living in the past like ESPN and the oddsmakers or you will end up embarrassed.
Yeah lets pretend all that…..NOT!
