Do We Have the SEC’s Best Corner?

We'll see once the ole miss game is underway. Not sure cats have played anyone that can actually pass the ball worth a darn yet. Ole miss will throw it all over the yard
I don’t think they will. (Just my opinion) I don’t think they’ll try to throw it all over the field unless they absolutely have to (and if I were Brad White that’s exactly what I’d try to make them do).. I don’t think they have any confidence in the QBs right now. They are a run heavy team this year. In their 2 games against FBS opponents they’ve thrown it for 398 yards with 1 TD & 2 INTs. They’ve run it for 582 yards. Their defense is good. I think we’ll stop them enough-we just need to be even or better in turnovers & get our OL & red zone issues straightened out.

Agree here. Miss St, UT, and UGA will be the tests through the air. Ole Miss just ran it over 60 times in their most recent game and the QB play has been rather underwhelming to say the least to this point. RB Zach Evans the former 5 star and TCU transfer is a monster and will be the primary player to stop if big blue wants to leave Oxford with a win. Think the D is up to the task but will need to see a vastly improved OL for the remainder of the year if UK hopes to reach its potential. The OL play is downright disheartening and a major concern to me. Only started getting success against Florida in the second half when Floridas lack of depth started to show on their defensive front. Not sure what can be done to improve the unit but don’t see UK beating UGA, UT, Miss St, or Ole Miss if the big blue wall doesn’t look halfway competent on the run blocking

Yes, I think so. This is not the same secondary that played TN or Miss St last year. Vast improvement!

Ole miss is a game

Miss st would be a Let down. They looked awful offensively against a mediocre lsu. The letdowns are what we have to avoid.

Preseason Cam Smith of So Car was regarded as the best and a top 3 in College Football ie #3 for NFL Draft

idk what kind of season he had had

I think Keidron Smith is as good to be honest. I get the boundary CB plays a different way than field CB.

But Keidron is better tackler in space IMO...more physical CB. Maybe not quite as good in press coverage but he can read a QB 3 step drop vs. 5 step drop routes. For sure Keidron is an upgrade to Dort from last year. We need to wait until Ole Miss and Tenn games to really judge the CB play.

Carrington has come up huge.

I wouldn’t want to rely on beating UK by beating Valentine.

Even the best lose a few interference calls, but can brush them off.

I wouldn't swap UGA's for any in the conference or anywhere else, Ringo is a 1st team preseason AA and projected 1st rounder and Lassiter has more than held his own on the other side.

We got two studs back there.

I bet you’d swap that runt you got at QB for our big boy cannon arm Levis.
Grumpy you better pray Walker doesnt get a hold of Bennett or you might be playing a 2nd stringer in your bowl game.

Why would I want to swap QB? Stet had a better 21 season and is having a better 22 season up to this point. He is very accurate, protects the ball one of the top QB in the country in 20+ plays. Walker is going to be a good player, but not the only good DL in the SEC.

You’ve been on this board long enough to know not respond to his baiting posting posts . Please ignore.

Little too early to hit the pipe my guy. Levis is great and may be a better pro but Stetson is having a better year in college vs much better teams than UK has played. 952 yds and 5 TDs and no INTs for Bennett compared to 882 yards and 6 TDs and 4 INTs for Levis. Grumpy doesn’t deserve this

Idk, but I know afari is a dude, and when Vito comes back, look out. I believe they are both safety's in this scheme, but I think afari can be a shut down corner, and physical af

Correct. Everyone thinks lane is still chucking the ball around because he's lane kiffen; but he isn't. He's wisely adjusting to his personnel and they're mostly a rushing team.

They actually should be a nice matchup for our d

I dont care what you think buddy. He is a Georgia fan, who just so happen to be reigning national champions and he is on a UK message board tooting his guys horn in a post about UKs corners.
He absolutely deserves what little I gave him. Now, buzz off.

The new and improved Valentine and Smith have made our secondary exponentially stronger than last year.
I have noticed White had us in M2M and blitzing statistically against Florida which surprised me at times. He really has faith in those guys to cover.

Our D becomes elite with those 2 corners!
Our safeties are damn solid too.

Not tooting their horn, the thread was best CB in SEC, I said I wouldn't trade UGA's 2 for any in the conference. You brought Stet up, not me.
