...and a sentence telling me what I need to know. Thanks in advance.

I know going in I'd have taken a double-digit win over a Bobby Hurley-coached major conference team. But skimming the Rafters it sounds like the Cats lucked out against Morehead State.

B-.

Pretty simple. UK shot horrendous in the first half, UK shot much better in the 2nd. Tidbits: Skal is still an enigma, Poy got hurt but didn't quit and had another solid outing, Lee another good outing, Murray with a sneaky good 17 and 5 type game, Ulis dishing out dimes....3 point shooting was very good in the 2nd half after another terrible 1/11 first half from 3. Can we build on that? We shall see.

Lol

I missed most of it too.

People act like we are losing bunch of game this season.

9-1 for team with no offense and no defense.

Shots aren't falling, but we are getting good ones. The hustle was there. If the shots start falling, the sky is the limit. Our defense looked a lot better today.

B-

Skal was useless, shots didn't fall in the first half, and we got outrebounded. But the guards were awesome at driving and finding the open guy inside for the layup, Lee fought like a man, and Poythress played like a beast again, though his stats didn't quite show it because of being out with a brief injury for about 12 minutes. Also very happy with Willis and Humphries' efforts.

C+ in game grade.

B- because we covered the spread.

Skal is a liability. We have very little in the way of shooting. Willis looked better today. Need more out of Ulis and Murray was pretty lousy for his abilities. Pretty long way to go if we expect this to be a final four team.

B.
Shot bad in first half, good in second, Skal needs to sit and dribble drive looked good in 2nd half.

Yup. If Skal would show up and we had played a bit beter in the first half I'd said B+ or even A-.

Agreed. Honestly I thought we really outplayed them in the first half. We did a great job getting good looks. The open shots just didn't fall. What can you do? You have to keep shooting them.

Oh I almost forgot. Alex had a dunk in the first half that should be a sportcenter top 10. He took off from about 10 feet out. The whole place was going nuts.

Looked almost as bad as this idiot Chuck on the KSR post game sounds in the first half. The 2nd half was much better. I'd give it a A- when Poythress was in the game and a C- when Poythress wasn't in the game.

Very solid B. As others have said, struggled to shoot in the first half, but outside of Skal, everyone played well for the most part, and contributed at various points.

Considering much as we struggled, to put away a good ASU team by 14 was a solid win. This team clearly isn't where we want to be yet, but it's still December so that's to be expected. Despite the struggles we beat another solid team by a comfortable margin.

C- in the 1st half. We could not throw it in the ocean. Defense wasn't bad.

A- in the 2nd half. Much better movement offensively and better shooting.

Skal took a huge step back today which is saying something since he hadn't taken too many steps forward this season. He doesn't even look to take the mid-range jumper anymore.

OP must be a Troll. Missed the game HA. Are you related to that Soda Pop dude?

I missed it to. I thought it was an evening game. I think I'm still suffering from that loss last spring. It's sort of affected my enthusiasm. It's still there, just a down a notch so I can do something like think a games at another time.

One of the write-up's on the game suggested Skal is now a project. I tend to agree. It's starting to look like he's not going to be quite what was expected. I mean we are a 1/3 of the way through the regular season now, and he had his worst game. No point or rebounds. That's awful for a 7 footer projected as a top 3 pick. That's going to change soon if he doesn't get better and tougher. Starting to look like a multi-year player though I doubt he stays if his doesn't improve much. He will, Just perhaps not to the point we hope. Looks like we're going to be relying much more heavily on Lee and Alex. Fortunately Lee has played well, and Alex is starting to play better. Not sure about Hump. Even with Skal's horrid game he still didn't play much. Whether the kid from New Zealand can help remains to be seen. Let's hope so.

B- for a win that was 20+ but for garbage time points over a decent AZ State team.

B- because they were an A- or A in most facets of the game, but Skal and 3 point shooting were non existent.

Point is, when those latter two factors start to show up, we're gonna start wrecking some teams. Not like last year, but we'll be deadly, without question.

First Half - D
Second Half - B

Overall - C

We have a LONG way to go if we are going to do anything in March. Skal had 0 points, 0 boards and 5 fouls. That is absolutely unacceptable. I know he is young and learning but I think we are a better team without him on the floor. I would prefer Humphries starting over Skal. Humphries plays harder and gets better results. Until Skal proves that he is the better player, he shouldn't be seeing more minutes than some of our other guys! Really hoping our shooters can start hitting and get into a rhythm which will open up the middle some since teams are just packing the lane against this team.

A

We beat a power conference team that was supposed to be 'decent' by 14 and led by as many as 23. Too many people give their grade based on just a half. The first half wasn't good, but overall an easy win over a 'decent' team deserves an A always.

Having now watched it I'd say B. Agree with most everyone, the 2nd half much better, I'd say A. The potential, the talent is there. ASU is solid, talented team. The west coach is rich in talent, and while I grew tired of Vitale years ago he's right. I think Hurley is destined to become one of the games great coaches. It's in him. His father is legendary. His college coach to. Sure we hated him, but he's an intense competitor. So this was an encouraging win for our Cat's despite some obvious problems. You can't question our schedule.

I will present a slightly contrarian view to first half. I thought the Cats controlled the play leading throughout the half except for a few seconds. When AP left ASU got back in it. The shots were there but just did not fall. I think that after Camp Cal we will see tremendous improvment. The flow of the game was stifled by lots of whistles, mainly agaist the visitors.

Really, really good second half and a really nice win over a dangerous team who thought they could come in and win. Our guards and our scheme thanks to Coach Calipari in the second half were difference makers. Liked our hustle, fight, execution, and ability to defend. A big win essentially getting nothing from Skal, and that's good--he'll come along in time but is overwhelmed a bit now. Big win...now on to beating Ohio State in Brooklyn.

Overall a B-
ASU was formidable going in with win vs Creifhton and a&m.
We are consistent 3 pt shooting and consistent skal and poythress from an A team.
Marcus lee and poythress need to be the leaders of this team and they both stepped it up. If we get skal to join in on level then watch out.
