Or am I thinking of some other Florida guard? Who ever this guy is sucks.

Wilbekin maybe? Not Hill though. He was very highly rated out of HS but hadn't done well in college.

He was a consensus top 10 recruit going into college. I don't watch that many Florida basketball games, but looking at his numbers, he hasn't exactly lived up to the high school hype

He was supposed to be a starting PG in the NBA by now according to his high rankings. Cant imagine missing on 2 AA's in the same class like Florida did with Hill and Walker.

i believe he was a mcds all american 12 years ago with perry Ellis. As for the their basketball program shambles is the best way to sum it up lol. I find it funny Donovan listened to pitino about not taking the UK job and even turning down the magic after 17 mins and a few pictures on the job. He then takes the thunder job. Let's be honest, a circus midget could win with a team that includes two guys in the top 3 at their positions and that kanter guy isn't to bad either. If money wasn't the issue, why would he leave his beloved gators, his bff in foley, and gator nation? I would love to know how pitino feels about Donovan doing well in the league while he's still stuck in duh ville. A better question would be his thoughts on the job Brad Stevens is doing for the celtics with less control than pitino had and failed miserably.

He'll look like that guy you were thinking of when we play in Gainesville.

Kasey Hill has some talent. He's quick with the ball and can drive and slash pretty well. His trouble is that he's not great at finishing in the lane and he's not a good shooter at all. So teams have figured out that you just lay off him and make him a jump shooter.

He also benefited from being surrounded with some great players his first two season. Now that he's one of the primary focuses of the scouting report, he's struggling.

LOL did you even watch UK b-ball ? Crawford was a damn good player and was great his final year and Morris was our lone post presence for a few years. So they didn't have good NBA careers ? WHo cares they were great in college for some periods . Crawford was my favorite player of the mid 00's .
See the quote attached to my post, I'm talking specifically about them being HS AA's who were projected to jump to the NBA quickly. I'm sticking to it.

Not even remotely close. Crawford and Morris were both really good college basketball players.
Read the quote attached to my post, I
wasn't talking about college results. But yes, they ended up being good players, I liked them, but the results for UK weren't great, similar to what Florida experienced last year.

I think one of the hardest things to project is how well a small, lightning quick guy who gets most of his points by beating guys off the dribble is going to translate to higher levels of the game. Sometimes you get Kasey Hill, sometimes you get Allen Iverson. There seems to be a fine line of ability that, if a guy is on the good side of (like Iverson), it doesn't matter how small he is. If a guy's on the other side, he might not be any good at all. Jonny Flynn from college to the pros would be another example.

And I don't think there's ever been a more disappointing pair of top 10 recruits to go to the same school from the same recruiting class as Chris Walker and Kasey Hill to Florida in 2013. It's one thing to get a pair of guys like that who don't make the NBA, but getting 2 rated that highly who don't even turn out to be good college players is very, very rare.

It still kills me that that guy was drafted before Steph Curry.
