Next year's football roster will include 71 players rated 5.5 or higher. (3 stars) 58 players rated 5.6 or higher. 36 players rated 5.7 or higher and 18 players rated 5.8 or higher. (4 stars) That's reason for optimism! We will be very close to averaging 2 deep at every position with players ranked almost 4 stars or higher. Not many linemen rank 5.8 or higher - so these are great numbers and very competitive with football programs ranked in the top 15 to top 25, if these numbers are correct.
It will be interesting to see if the staff can continue to keep the roster increasing with these types of recruiting ranking numbers. We all know that rankings are not the whole story - but they are a good indicator of the future of the program.

P.S. What is even more important and makes the future even brighter. 32 of the 36 players rated 5.7 or higher will return the following year. The classes are divided almost equally with 10 juniors, 11 sophomores and 11 Freshmen.
