Did Cal mention a possible addition...

You would have to think that if he did, you would have to feel good about Murray.

He did make an implication that the team roster is not necessarily final as of today.
He must still have hope that Murray will choose UK. Murray's already been to Oregon, so what will he see differently that he didn't the first time?

I don't have a good feeling about us getting Murray now. Cal talking about next years team today, I always felt the reason Cal hadn't talked about next years team was because, he thought we wasn't done recruiting for next year. Murray visiting Oregon now, not a good sign, just my opinion nothing more.

I thought this as well.

I hope we are just being paranoid.

I still feel ready good about him coming here. The plan was always for him to take more visits and I think he might take another to maybe UConn.

Uconn? Really,, with all the press about them just adding three players?

We will be getting two big men soon that can play right away. Bryce Johnson and Kennedy Meeks. Will be great additions to our front line.

I'm hoping this is a good sign but this years recruiting has been anything but normal, if we don't get him I won't be shocked[winking]

LOL you are being insanely paranoid . If you thought we were getting Murray yesterday , as i tend to think , then you should still. His dad always said he would take other visits . But the guys who would know say Murray will be a Cat and i trust that. He is serious out being a top pick in next year's draft and living and breathing bball for the next year and all a trip to Oregon would do is show him just how 2nd rate it is there . So they have nice facilities ? who cares ! Do they have a championship floor in their lockeroom ? Do they have 6-8 future pros Murray can go against every day ? Do they have a coach will have put 4 guys into the first draft pick in 10 years ? HELL NO TO ALL THAT .

I hope you are right.

I just can't count my chickens yet.

I am optimistic, but not to a fault.

I have him pencilled in, but not putting ink to paper just yet.

Oregon currently has a backcourt that is arguably as good or close to as good as Kentucky's. Not sure what they can sell that Kentucky can't.

Also, between Cal's tweet the day before the news broke on Murray heading to Oregon and Cal's presser comments, I feel better about Murray now than ever.

Yeah, pretty much what he was saying IMO. It was similar to what he's said at other times this off-season, about "hoping to add 2-3 guys" then those guys go somewhere else because it's the 2015 class so of course they do.

I think the Oregon visit has more to do with the staff there knowing there's a legit chance they could lose him, so pulling out all favors to get him back for another visit. It's not the best news for sure, as weird things can happen. The good news is, we will be good with or without him (but with him we could be reaaaaaallly good).

He mentioned a few times about this roster not being final, so talking about next year's team now really means little. He's not going to give up until the kid announces. I doubt Cal knows one way or the other right now on what Murray will do, or at least he feels there is a good chance.

Here's my take on the situation. Dana Altman is doing everything he can to convince Murray to stay in the 16 class to make him the "guy". The problem with that is, Murray is already 18 so he would have no need to stay in high school another year to play college the next. He's already a projected draft pick so why would he waste a year. The only reasonable thing I can take from this is oregon is working on getting room for him now. I feel he is actually torn but he knows his best opportunity his here at UK. I have no idea what will happen but it would really be dumb for him to stay in the 16 class both physically and financially. I really hope Cal has this guy on the hook and reels him in. I love his game from watching him play in the summit and think he is the missing piece for us to be a special team.
