Did Bill Walton just inadvertently defend UK and UK fans?

He's on the screen, on GameDay, but I can't listen. He just doesn't turn me on. But I hear enough to hear him complaining about officials, and then he says "May we never again have to see something like the first half of Kentucky and North Carolina." Definitely not convenient for Bills and Rece Davis and their arguments about that game....

Anyone hear it?

He has praised Kentucky Basketball on more than one occasion. Referring to us as the "Gold Standard" of College Basketball. When ESPN personalities hype up the teams with the longest winning streaks at home, no one mentions Kentucky having the record for longest except Bill.

That fact that he doesn't turn you on is a good thing, IMHO.

I love Bill Walton. I remember a few years ago when he was actually indicting UCLA when he was there for committing violations. Something along the lines of "When I was at UCLA they took care of us!" Considering the guy struggled with a stuttering problem for most of his life and is now an analyst on some broadcasts, he has my respect.
