He's going to wait until 11:59, but something will happen to delay the fax/email/tweet/whatever and it won't go through until 12:01 and he will be ruled ineligible by the NCAA. He then is forced to go into the draft and gets selected in the second round, but is cut and is forced to go overseas to play.

So go ahead and just announce now and keep all that from happening.
