Diallo pulls out of NY Knicks workout

I'm taking it as good news.Plans to come back to have a great year and be a lotto pick next year.

Don't really think it means anything actually. As Silent said, they're picking 8th and 44th. They're not picking him 8th and Diallo prolly doesnt care about the 44th pick.

Think there's some useful information there, but it isn't regarding Diallo.

Apparently the Knicks are one of the franchises Cal trusts. Makes the smoke about them liking Monk and potentially trying to let him grow into a PG seem like maybe there's some truth to it.

The Knicks have had the 8th and 44th pick all along so why even schedule a workout in the first place?

Why not? They're throwing everything to the wall in this situation. They wouldn't close doors.

On a player like Diallo? As big of a mystery as he is, I highly doubt it.
and he will remain a mystery IF he does not workout for them...and they would not possibly want to trade for him IF he does not do a workout for them...BUT if he did workout for them, and he knocked their knickers off...they could trade up for him.
Teams trade all the time for "flyers" they like

It could be that someone else (NJ?) has decided to take him in the first round. Just sayin'.

Actually that's the basic reason players cancel workouts, because they got a promise for another team so it makes no sense to go to another workout. I'm. It saying that's what Diallo did it, just saying many players pull out for that reason

Is that why they call you "Ole Poop?"

If that were the case, then he would have already announced he is staying in the draft.

Or, he knew they weren't taking him at pick #8 and he isn't interested in being pick #40

Knicks have pick #8, which there's no way they pick HD there. And they have pick #44, and I doubt he wants to go that late. So, no real reason to work out for them.
Unless, ya know, they wanted to trade up for him.

And why wouldn't they? Trade up to the late 20s and snag a potential gold mine? Especially for the Knicks where people expect them to be in purgatory for the foreseeable future.

First off, why do you get so offended when someone disagrees with you? Geez, relax.

And no they don't trade up for players like Diallo all the time. Cause they're aren't players like Diallo all the time. Name me a single player that an NBA team has traded up for to get a player like Diallo? Since the OAD started that hasn't played any in college or at the combine. I can't think of any. It's a very unique situation. Is it possible if he knocks their socks off? Yeah, anything is possible but I didn't say it was impossible. I said it was highly unlikely that any team would do that and that is true, it's extremely unlikely. We heard the Bulls loved him but they're not trading up for him. Plus, they would have to do it now just to get Diallo to possibly stay in the draft to begin with. That's not happening.
