I don't think it has anything to do with talent or how good he was. He came in mid season. That effects team chemistry and efficiency. People learn how to play with other teammates and if you introduce another player, unless it's lebron or steph curry, it takes time to reset everything sometimes. So it wasn't a bad decision. It is what it is.
