Explosive as in getting to the rim and athleticism? Probably, not seeing why people think that's hyperbole but he's probably not going to be as explosive as a scorer Monk is because of not having a good jump shot.

Without jumping on your case he may not be as good of a shooter but Monk was streaky...but he most likely will be great at attacking the basket in the dribble drive.

Even better he is faster than Fox, a better shooter than Lamb, owns the paint like Cousins, blocks shots like Davis, is more intense than Ulis, and has a better motor than MKG.

From what I have seen and heard of Diallo, he's more a Kidd-Gilchrist type, great height, length, and athleticism- excellent driving ability, finishes above the rim- great on-ball defense. But his biggest issue is his lack of shooting ability and strength. I'm sure the head start has helped him with strength and conditioning, so I'm not even concerned about that. The big question remains his shooting. We all know what teams will do with a guy who is a great slasher but can't shoot. We've seen it many times before.
I don't think strength will be an issue. I don't know his listed weight but I know he looks thicker than Monk
You have to be 19 in the calendar year of the draft , not before the draft. He's definitely draft eligible.
