Does anybody know the details?

Rembrandt reports he’s down to UK and LSU.

Rivals shows 11 SEC offers including Bama and Vandy (and Duke, Notre Dame, and Wake Forest) I’m guessing his academics are as strong as his athleticism!!!

I've read somehwere that Devin Smith may be the most talented player in the class. If so, this has to be our best LB haul in history.
I’ve read that another (“Fonged”) prospect might be the most talented Stoops has ever signed, should he sign!

If we get Brian Robinson, he will be our most important 2024 signee, the most talented defender in this class, and one of the top players Stoops will ever sign here IMO. But Devin Smith is another very important target for several reasons, including the fact that D'Eryk Jackson will not be here forever. DS is really good. That's why he holds eleven SEC scholarship offers.

Smith is a guy with 35 offers, including the 11 from the SEC you mentioned, yet Rivals has him one tenth of a point, that's ONE TENTH of a POINT, from a 4*. What has he done or not done that costs him ONE TENTH of a POINT? Laughable.

I place no particular significance on online player ratings, and certainly not on fractions of a point. There are at least 4 online player evaluation websites (Rivals, 247, ESPN, On3), and the correlation for player ratings from one site to the next is loose at best. For some players, ratings differences on different sites can be laughable. If you don't like Devin Smith's rating on one website, just go to another. What I know about him for sure is that a lot of really good coaching staffs want to sign him.

They reevaluate the ratings near the end of October, would be a disservice if he’s not upgraded. Not going to change how he plays but I’m sure he feels like it’s deserved.
