Meanwhile, James Blackmon Jr (IU) put up 5 points against Wake Forest in a loss yesterday. Remember that time when IU schooled us for the best 2 guard?
Devin is the streakiest shooter I remember. Started out here at 1-10, then hit like a gajllion out of a gajilion and 1, then couldn't throw it in the ocean. When he's on though, he's lights out.
Will always support him. But last year was maddening to watch. Like @SilentsAreGolden said. Started slow, got super hot, and then totally fell off and never returned again. His 3 was key for the title. If he could stretch out the defense we would have walked to the title, IMO.
He was an enigma. At first, he couldn't hit, then he couldn't miss. By the end of the season, he couldn't buy one. Apparently, he's on fire now though. I hope he can keep it up. The best shooter in my book comes down to two names: Doron Lamb and/or Tony Delk.

Exactly. Some people take his ability a bit far. His defense was pitiful as well. All things I'm sure he will correct moving toward, but I too wish we would have seen it when we really needed it. This is why I hate relying on freshman to score your big threes in domes during the final four. I think this years team has an "it" factor that could ease us through.

Oh the memories of intramurals I had twice scored 38 points.........I wasn't the leading scorer in either game, and we lost both
. We had another game where we lost 76-31; I had 17 points on 5-6 threes.....my ball hog teammate went 0-16 from three; this is no joke. Yeah, my teams sucked. My brother's best friend claimed to had hit 17 threes in a game; he said that the score was 104-50 with 10 minutes left. Having known the mercy rules, I find that hard to believe (30 points or more at ANY point in the second half constituted a mercy rule; the 76-31 game was at a different school, and their mercy rule was 20+ point lead at two minutes to go). Those intramural refs are like John Claugherty, Doug Shows, and Tony Greene, with Doneghy being the leader of officials. Oh yeah, and the OP flew over the Duke fan's head.
It won't be by the end of the year. Cal hasn't been emphasizing shooting. He's wanted it pounded on the deck, hard.
I bet by the end of the year this has been one of the better shooting cal teams.
As I'm typing this Ulis missed two more 3 point shots. I'm willing to bet you anything that this UK team will not be coach Cal's best 3 point shooting team.
Yea but Murray just drained 2 of them. We weren't going to the guy with the hot hand. This is a cal problem right now. Get your hot hand some looks on that zone. Sometimes cal just makes me smdh.
I think Murray will end up between 35-40%. Ulis will be below 35% and Briscoe will be below 30% IMO. Edit: it wouldn't surprise me if one or two of them shot below 30%
