saw where coach cal and john wall were at his game. we have offered a scholarship might be hard to him out of North Carolina. what are chances? gbb

Tore his ACL. That's not saying that he won't come back 100%, but I think all of our chips are in on Fox at the current moment. He is our #1 option, and he should be. He is the best PG in the class.

You really think Fox is better than Smith Jr?

Smith is more athletic than Fox IMO but Fox is probably the better shooter and will get players involved more. JMO

Fox performed better in the eybl which is the top event, far better than Adidas. I think he's the guy, wouldn't be upset with any of the three (smith might be the best highlight guy) but I hope for fox.

Yes, I really do. I think Smith Jr. puts out the better mixtape because of his athletic ability, but if I had to choose between the two, I like Fox better as a player.

I think people sometimes use athleticism negatively against some of these kids. If a kid is really athletic people automatically use that as the main descriptor of him and assume all his other skills are lesser.

I couldn't find last seasons stats but Dennis Smith Jr averaged 9.3 assists as a sophomore in high school. The kid is by all accounts I've seen a great floor general and distributor.

Here is an article from very recent at the Adidas Nations Global before he was injured.Smith Jr had 16 assists in one game and shot over 50% from the field over the course of the event.

Those are fair points and phenomenal stats. I still think Fox is the better all around player, though. Smith is extremely good and I would take him in a heartbeat, but if I had to choose, I want Fox.

shooting 50% doesn't tell us much. It's AAU where defense is blah at best and was most of that layups and dunks? If you can find a % outside the paint then it would start to tell a more accurate story.

Honestly I'd love to have smith but we have no shot in hell so why even entertain that thought

ACL tears always worry me. I think Fox is our guy. Might be too much of an uphill battle to steal him out of North Carolina. Cut our losses and go with Fox.

Hopefully Smith picks NCState!
