UK run defensive is awful, or UK gets no push, or teams get the edge way to quickly, or my favorite, we need a new DC, replace Elliot.

Fellas, UK has not the team speed or quickness or lateral movement required to be a good run defense no matter what scheme you run or whomever is the coach. Offense can be fixed quickly in college with a few players but defense take time especially in the SEC. It reality, 5-10 years of solid recruiting will get you close but still their is no guarantee. It was the same under Papa, joker, and now Stoops that we see the same things like arm tackling, getting pushed off the ball, and teams making big yardage from sweep runs. The only way that changes is recruiting period. People love to watch the Curci teams of the 70s and their defense but it was team quickness that was what made them great. Quickness and speed cures all defensive scheme..

Yep, pretty much. Why did anyone think we would have a good defense this year when we have not had one in decades and then losing Z and Bud?

To add insult to injury, we suspended Hatcher, Johnson and lost Flanigan to injury. Anyone could predict that we would give up points tonight.

As of right now the entire defensive staff is on notice...33 points to ULL is embarrassing...

if the rajun cajuns can run it in...florida, auburn, tennessee, Miss St, UL, are all going to have record games...

Towles will have to toss 5-6 TDs just to stay in it with the big boys if the D is going to pat everyone on the butt as they run by...

You're right we get no push but we also don't have LBers yet that fill the gap.
