Great to see Wright back, instantly changes our defense
The defense didn’t play good, they dominated.
The O-line improved over the course of the game too. Levis was being treated like a pinata in the first half. And some running lanes finally opened, which I never expected at halftime.
We have two likely wins coming up. Fine-tune things on the O-line and I like where we're at going forward.

They did indeed. focused. Very few missed tackles. Total lock down performance.
However, before their coronation as the best ever I want to see them play a balanced offense. Florida is extremely one dimensional. Let's see what that sorry bastard Kiffen has in store.

Best overall game Valentine has played in a Kentucky uniform. To be honest, I was really worried he’d be picked on a little bit but he played outstanding tonight, if he continues to play like this he’s going to make some money on Sundays. Our defense played awesome all night and the OLine really grew up and played great the second half. Love this win and I’m so proud of everyone who had a part in it. Go Cats
Did you notice he was the one they threw at several times the first half. Obvious part of their game plan. Agree, maybe the best game he has played. Held up every time they tried picking on him. And that deflection on the slant was a big time play.

I’m glad you mentioned Valentine. He had a good game and had one particularly spectacular pass break-up on a 4th down. With Jordan Wright back and the defense clicking, we are dangerous even with some of our deficiencies.

I believe we’re a lot better on D than most of us even think. Big loss with Jalen going down because he was looking fantastic, hopefully he’ll get back soon, at least next year worst case. Anyway, I hate to get too excited but I love what we’re seeing. The OLine is getting better every snap as well. Lots of great stuff to love about Kentucky Football right now and I’m all in. With Chris back I do believe this is the best team we’ve had in my 46 years. Lot of great teams this season. Going to be a great year for college football I believe.
I will say, Mark Stoops and staff were defensive of the o-line this week—saying they made some mistakes but the talent was there to be solid. I was skeptical, but now I think the coaches were right.
The o-line is not gonna be a strength, but we’ve got two games against weak teams to get them even more experience. Perhaps by the time we suit up against Ole Miss and have Chris back, we’ll be looking at an entirely revamped running game. And that’s scary to think about, because if that happens, the SEC East is truly in play for us.

1977 team set a precedent. In this modern era, we've witnessed some amazingly similar performances under a defensive-minded coach who embraces (tolerates) modern offensive schemes.
They was only 4 of 16 on third down conversions. AR longest run, 4 yards and he was only 14 for 35 passing. Kinda like the 77 team, lot of seasoned veterans has a lot to do with a performance like that. And the game plan on D was perfect.
The pick by wright was on of the most impressive defensive plays I've seen. Live, I thought the ball hit him in the chest
Secondary came to play tonight. Valentine blowing up 3rd downs, Smith returning that pick six... Linebackers kept Richardson from running all night. Defensive line made it possible.

Really good? They won the game. It is a very solid defense. UF scored ziltch in the second half.
Most dominant UK defensive 2nd half since Mizzou 2018. Just stoned them.
