He basically is pushing the narrative that they really didnt need to pay Bowen because they already had a top 5 class. Of course Meiners didn't ask him if he thought that the others in that class might be paid for. It was like...recruiting had been going great (inference that it was legit recruiting) and this with Bowen must be totally disconnected.
