I know it was at the very end of the game and only two runs, but Dee looked very nice in his two carries. Strong physical Runner that had some nice burst as well. Something we've been lacking with CROD out and Ramon Jefferson getting hurt only 2 carries into the Season. Beckwith could be that 2nd Back we need to keep the chains moving not to mention I'm sure that he would have no problem pass blocking at his size and agility.

I was glad to see it also. Hope he gets some prime time carries against NIU (early in the game) to see what we really have there. I saw at least 2 plays where Smoke needed to take the ball to the tackler and run him over, and he just shied away.

What I can't understand is why Drennen NEVER gets a shot. I don't know what he's done to get in Stoops' dog house, but he's firmly squared away there. After the game he had in the spring, Stoops refused to talk about him AT ALL, even when asked directly about him.

I recall from his recruitment that he's a big skateboarding enthusiast. That at least suggests certain lifestyle activities that can get you sideways with a football coach. I'm not making an assertion, mind you.

Drennan is still a skinny as hell drink of water. He is not a RB in this scheme. Maybe air raid stuff...but he can't run between the tackles. Need to let go of his high school star rating is why people clamor that Drennan has potential.

Drennen is a WR in college. And given Robinson, Key and Brown....with Crowdus, Magwood, with more coming in next year. Drennan will be in portal more then he'll ever be seeing the field IMO.

I have feeling we see him get 6-10 snaps next game. Maybe more if he is very effective. I Might be wrong but we'll see.

Report from spring was he moved back to RB room then. So not sure why you do not hear from him. Again maybe he is in the same boat as CROD with NCAA and will miss x amount of games. Stoops always said multiple players. Maybe he is one of the multiple.

I am quite surprised he didn’t enter the portal last year . I kinda assumed the coaches convinced him there was a plan for him , but it certainly doesn’t seem that way . He seems like a classic “tweeter” to me . Maybe a 3rd down back ?

Re Drennen, don't know about UF/YS but Drennen did not dress vs Miami so he may be dealing with an injury.
