Deals being made to get Texas & Oklahoma to SEC in 2024

I knew something would be worked out to speed this up & not wait till after 2025. So UT & OK agree to schedule some Big 12 games in the future, and are free to leave for SEC.

All moving parts in CFB coming together in 2024, to shape the sport brand new. Texas & Oklahoma in the SEC, no divisions, 9 game conf schedule. USC & UCLA to Big 10, also no divisions. ACC starts no divisions this yr. New TV contracts & networks for SEC, Big 10, Big 12 & Pac 12.

And, looming over it all, the 12 team CFB playoff will be kicking off in 2024 as well. Change is painful for a lot of people, and all this is a whole lot of change to CFB. Too much, too soon? We will all soon find out.

So this could be our last in the SEC East. Going to be weird without it but I’ll enjoy playing other SEC teams more regularly too. It’ll be fun to see LSU/Arkansas/Auburn more than once every six years. Of course the last season with a cross division game we get Bama

Does the Big 12 want to take a chance that they get 1 team in the 12 team playoff and it's Texas or OU? Or 2 teams in and both are leaving for the SEC?That would be a major embarrassment, I would think.

UGA was scheduled to play OU home and home in 23 and 24. SEC offices told us to cancel the series so it wouldn't be a snag in setting up the conference schedules in 24. That happened around Sept. I believe. So the SEC office has been expecting them in by 24 I think. We picked up one of the directional schools from Tennessee for 23.

USC and UCLA home games will be a huge advantage for them, IF they are playing later in the day on Saturday. Away games will be a huge advantage for Midwestern schools if played at noon. Should make for some wild and of year results. It will be good to see (if the CA schools step up their game) the B1G finally beating itself up like the SEC has been for decades.

We all know the B1g will go out of their way to protect Ohio & Michigan, as always. I don't expect those 2 making many southern cal road trips.
