DaVon Hamilton Expected To Flip To Ohio State

One thing we got going for us is the staffs ability to pick out low rated studs. Just have to find a way to keep them committed. Hamilton and Dinson were two of our lowest rated players and they both are getting big time attention from national players.

that's got nothing to do with it. The guy committed to us after we lost six games, too. Simple case of mama calling is all.

Going to be a roller coaster. When I see it in his words..then I'll say it may be done. But I suspect CVM is already talking to him.

If 1 thing impressed me about Ohio State in the 2 playoff games, it was their defensive line. They were really good. Hamilton is not an immediate impact player. He will need a redshirt, and he could get lost at Ohio State. Hamilton can't flip to Ohio State without a committable offer, and that part isn't clear yet. If he flips, Ohio State would be his 3rd commitment. I would like to sign Hamilton but he isn't exactly the key to Kentucky's class. Stoops is still recruiting Provitt and a couple of other tackles as good or better. Still guessing Hamilton probably ends up at Kentucky. Either way, a good player but not make or break for our class.

Excellent points. FYI, this would be his 4th commitment if he chooses to commit to the Bucknuts (Ohio U, Pitt, UK). Hope he stays - he seems like a heck of a player.

Ohio State winning the national championship has nothing to do with it, you're right.

Living in Columbus and probably being a lifelong OSU fan most likely would help as well

I will worry when the recruit has something to say on the subject. Tag for this thread should read "OSU homer expects DaVon Hamilton to do Urban's bidding". Shocker.

Then again, maybe he doesn't want to stay around the nest, and has spent enough time around Columbus to be familiar with the long term politics of walking into the locker room as tOSU's "back up plan".

Sorry, but no son of mine is ever going to be anyone's "back up plan".

I don't fundamentally disagree with you but I think its the kids decision and not the parents. As a parent its my job to raise my kid to be a functioning adult who can make his own decisions. The, "Helicoptor" society of today isn't helping future generations.

I think it's obvious at this point that this class is going to be a step back from last year but I hope it doesn't continue on this downward trend that it appears to be headed.

cats just lost davon Hamilton

Going to OSU

We need another DT in this class.I expect Elam to leave after his Jr year which would leave us with Middleton, meant, provitt.unless dubose will play DT.

Hamilton/provitt type players need to be in the system at least 2 years before being ready for the sec grind..

Also the staff must feel OK for this upcoming year because the havnt really targeted a lot of jucos..
