Just thought this guy deserves his own thread !, Became an All American, returned for another year even though he was going to be drafted, became CONSENSUS All American, never even considered “opting out” of the bowl game , never a hint of off field trouble his whole career. SO GLAD he didn’t get injured after coming back! He’ ll always be one of my favorites!

Is Knoxville were he was originally from. I just knew he moved to Ohio and played his last couple years in Cleveland. I think at Ignatius

Like another poster said Good standard. Weird because I remember him being from Ohio? Anyway Kentucky legend. Crazy how many of those Stoops has produced

Linemen are what can turn you into a real “program.” It’s the main reason for our success. Thankfully, Stoops understands this. They aren’t flashy, but they are necessary.
I posted in another thread that it’s the LOS that creates great teams. It’s how UGA and AL won their games yesterday. UK currently has 1/2 of the equation. If they can get the D line up to the O line standard, UK can get in to the consistent top 5-6 conversation.

He moved to Cleveland during HS, not sure where he was originally from. Recruiting analysts said his move is what kept from being a lot higher ranked
Yes , he moved from Knoxville when he was a freshman. I guess that’s why it was in my head .

What's the highest a UK lineman has been drafted? My guess he will be the highest
He's got some competition from back in the day.

Absolutely agree!
Dude embodies every thing good about football as well as being a good human. I will watch NFL just to support him.

I agree. This young man is a legend and a hero.

That's the first thing I said after our last kneel down..."it's over & thank God Darrian came out ok"

During Hayden Fry era, Kirk Ferentz brought that to the Iowa program for 9 years as OL coach. Iowa has two OL in the League with Rod Walters and Joe Devlin, who both played in the 1970s.

When he returned in 1999, the lines on both sides of the ball were depleted. He changed that by 2002, his fourth season.

There is a reason the Joe Moore award exists.

Mark Stoops clearly has Kentucky going in the right direction.

Both programs are excited about their Class of 2022.

I’ll bump this one back up!

It reminds me of a thread I started way back just after the 2019 Citrus Bowl win: I was real impressed with a true frosh who at 357 pounds was bouncing around like a five-year old on caffeine!!

He became a consensus All-American, with or without the caffeine!!

I was at the game. Without DK being inserted in the starting line up at RT to start the second half, we lose that game.

I had never witnessed an Olineman change the momentum of a game like DK did that game against Penn State.

DK needs to be on the ring of honor.......today!!!

Kinnard is a bad man, plain and simple.

Coach has definitely proven to be the line of scrimmage first guy a lot of people were hoping he'd be when he was hired... thank goodness.
