I got an alert on my iPhone 10 minutes ago stating Dana O'Neil writes UK fans will again have unreasonable expectations in spite of sending 8 players to the draft. The article doesn't exactly say that, but certainly hints at it. And just baffling how she can write an article and have it posted to ESPN.com with such a glaring mistake. Lmao, 8 players? For someone who who consider herself a professional, just embarrassing.... Do they not have fact checkers/editors?
"Kentucky is always trying to win a national championship -- that means the basketball program, the school, the state, its resident senior citizens, mothers, fathers, small children and those still in the womb.
It is what the Wildcats do, and revisionist history doesn't change that.
The question is: Can Kentucky do it this year? Whether it was the goal or not, Calipari will indeed send eight players to their NBA fortunes later this month, a stunning turnover of talent even at a program that turns over talent like no other.
It should, in theory, afford the Wildcats a mulligan this year. Replacing eight guys from a team that lost but one game in 39 tries is a rather tall order, but this is Kentucky. What's more, this is Kentucky under Calipari, and an unreasonably high bar is expected to be met annually."
There was more to the article, but nothing worth reading. I removed the link based on good advise below. No reason to support here with extra hits.
