Big news! Certainly has to help with DJ!
Certainly doesn’t hurt with DJ, but I don’t think Kentucky could be any more of a guarantee than they already are with him. It’s just a matter of pro or Kentucky.
I'm with you 100% on this.I can't say how glad it makes me, to see Kentucky/Cal start to use the tactics that other schools have been doing. Let's hire everyone's cousin, sister, father, whatever.
Good deal!
He’s a walk on. Doesn’t matter at all. Doesn’t take up a scholly. Can have 50 of them. Wouldn’t matter. Like to get more and run the JV team again.I just don't think you bring this kid on unless you know you got DJ Wagner. Now, that could change, things happen. But no, you don't take this walk on for nothing. I'd say that as of now, at least until the G-League comes calling, Wagner is ours. At the end of the day, this is still a business.
MKG’s was pretty locked down.If D.J. goes to college, then it’s guaranteed where he is going; I don’t think you’ll ever see a college recruitment more certain than this.
But, if he proves he’s worthy of making the jump straight to the NBA, then it would become more complicated. Knowing Cal, he would tell the young man to go straight to the league if he’s ready.
I’m hopeful we get him for a single-season, but I won’t be surprised if he elects for the pro-option.
Nonetheless, Dajuan Wagner is an incredible asset to have for our program.

I know right, hire their dad to cut grass for UK at 400k a year if that’s what it takes lol.
