Baseball America is still ignoring us despite the fact that we have taken two series from top 25 teams. Now we just have to hope that uavel gets beat soon. If not by someone else, then by us on April 4.

The Collegiate Baseball Newspaper is usually the most friendly to UK. Baseball America and D1Baseball are two that are probably (IMO) pretty highly respected. Our RPI is currently 26th, but I can understand us being just outside of the top 25.
I think that we still have a lot to prove. I think beating TAMU was big, especially sweeping them, but TAMU has got to turn things around and right the ship and doing so will help to solidify this as a huge win. They play a traditionally strong team in Rice to start the week and then play Vanderbilt. If they can be on the positive side this week in terms of wins then I think that will really help to boost UK's rankings, especially if UK stays on the plus side.
Really, this issue here is that the other top 25 team we beat... they shouldn't have been a top 25 team. UCSB is currently 7-11 and they lost 3 of 4 to BYU (9-9) and lost 1 of three to Stony Brook (5-12) this past weekend. So, what looked like a strong weekend at the time may not have been.
That all being said, I think we've played everyone tough and this road sweep was huge. Not too concerned about our ranking. I just want to continue to see the team batting average high and the team ERA stay low.
