D League rosters

We have the most players in the league and a good amount in the Dleague as well. Just speaks to how much talent goes thru this program . Also guys like Andrew and Dakari will play in the NBA one day while guys like Liggins and Teague who were in the league and didn't so well might not make it back and need to eventually go overseas if they want to make the big money.

The D- League has finally become the minor league that it was supposed to be. A lot of guys on these rosters will end up being solid NBA players sooner or later. I feel like the D-League still has the stigma that it's where potential NBA talent goes to die and never come back. That's not the case at all anymore.

Yep it is were the league sends players they like but need some seasoning .

I saw 5 UK players. That sound ab out right? Dakari Johnson, Marquis Teague, Ramone Harris, Deandre Liggins, and Daniel Orton.

Makes you wonder what in the holy hell kids like Dakari was thinking by leaving early. I mean he had to know that 1) He wasn't gonna be drafted very high and 2) He wasn't ready and that he couldn't make it yet in the league. And 3) He would inevitably be playing in this D-League. Same with the twins but I'm glad we have J-Dawg and Briscoe instead. With Murray we have a legit star 2 guard. Aaron would have never been that superstar, future top 5-10 pick in the draft. I got love for em and what they helped accomplish while here but anyone who'd say they'd rather have the twins than J-Dawg and Briscoe is trippin

Ramon Harris is in the D-League why? I mean he could make more per year overseas I'd figure and as far as I know he has NEVER played in the NBA and doubt he ever does. Am I wrong there?

Its either 2 things -

1. He doesn't have a market overseas.

2. He doesn't want to play outside of the US.

And #3 not all Euro leagues pay the big bucks people seem to think.

Some pay well especially if you can be a big time player in that league but it's not the big payday for everybody.

Also people severely underestimate just how difficult it is to live in a country where you don't speak the language. It's manageable but by all accounts miserable. It's a shame neither Australia or England give a crap about basketball.

James Young has spent some time down there this season. It's not the end-all if a guy ends up down there. Goodwin and Jones both spent some time down there in the past and both of them dominated. In fact, I'd prefer that Utah send Lyles down there to get him real game experience.

Johnson should have stayed in school.

He'd really be the last piece to UK's title puzzle this season - a decent, physical big who is strong enough to not let the Kennedy Meeks-types throw him around.

That said, OKC has given him a verbal agreement that they want to sign him to bigger money next year. I'm not sure a verbals worth much of anything, however.

Isn't Antetekounmpo the "Greek Freak"? I thought he was one of the up-and-comers in the NBA?
