11. We get Bamba
12. We get Johnson
13. We get Smith

Knox goes to UNC

I think Bam is gone. If someone else left (Gabriel, Wynyard, SKJ?) to get Bam back, I'd be so happy. But I don't think that happens for a variety of reasons.

PG: Green / Alexander 30/10
SG: Diallo / Johnson / Baker 30/10/spot
SF: Vanderbilt / Washington / Smith / Gabriel 30/10/spot/spot
PF: Washington / Richards / SKJ 20/20/spot
C: Bamba / Richards / Wynyard 35/5/spot

Now that I look at that, maybe Gabriel does leave. I don't see a real place for him.

I also think Knox is a lost cause, or Calipari wouldnt of been reaching out to the three other players. I'm also more concerned with Bam/Bamba situation not sure what I would rather have play out.

I love Bam and he played his heart out for us and gave so much effort... but he isn't a shot blocker and isn't going to be. Even if he gets his jumper down pat, he's never going to be the interior defender we need. We need Bamba.

Now, if we could play Bam at the 4 and Bamba at the 5, I'm 100% sold.

EDIT: he can block a few shots, but he isn't a rim protector, and yes those are two totally different things. It's the same difference in a guy who can hit an open three and a guy who can drain one with two hands in his face. No one, and I mean no one, thought twice about driving in for a layup last year, and that's a problem Bamba can fix.

I do not think Knox is going to UNC. He may, if he expects to be a OAD, but with potential sanctions, just do not see any decent player signing there for anything more than a short term experience.

Is it possible for UK to have only FR/Redshirt FR on scholarship? UK won't be that far off next year.
