This is getting deeper. Meanwhile ol pitino believes this is all in the past. I think this quote from a local attorney, though I doubt has any involvement in the case, is spot on.

"Fans are concerned with NCAA punishments,” Louisville attorney John Harralson said Tuesday afternoon. “To me, this is not the issue. If this had been a priest or a police officer or a high school coach that arranged prostitutes for high school students, that would be a huge story. That’s been lost."

And.....

“It just surprises me that if they would buy prostitutes for high school minors, it hasn’t sparked the kind of outrage it deserves. If I sent my kid on an official visit at a university and they hooked him up with some prostitute, I would be beyond livid.”

Can't be silent with a subpoena and treat of jail time! Maybe finally we'll get to the real source of this taintedness.

And we all know the source. Starts a year after Cal gets to UK and bringing in #1 rated classes. Plus the Pimp had flamed out early almost every year. My uofl 'friends' conveniently forget about that stuff.

Another funny side of this is when all the Louisville fans were in denial (which obviously some still are) they kept crying about how Katina Powell should be in jail. We all said, that's not what you want! Because if she gets locked up, that means her story is true and more people will go down with her. If she took money, he'll have to say where that money came from. They didn't want to listen. Wanna listen now card fans?

It is odd that all the focus is on the NCAA ramifications versus the potential criminal ramifications. I assume most or at least some of these recruits were minors. Louisville potentially paid to have these recruits stauatory raped.

True but I bet if McGee thought he was going to jail there would be others and that ain't happening.

It's gonna get really interesting. They don't have to interview McGee to charge him. And if they interview Katina, will she have to talk? I know eventually she would have to but is the book considered evidence? And can McGee say he just gave her the money and she did what she wanted? They'd have to have some proof I would imagine but if he's subpoenaed, he's going to have to protect himself and that's going to be disastrous for Louisville. Someone else set it up after he left and that's going to have to come out too. Again, the prosecutor might not be able to go very far, I have no idea because I'm not a lawyer, but if they end up having to talk, it's going to get ugly and the NCAA might have to wait for more evidence with names and other partakers in this.

Grab your popcorn. Just hope uofl has some Velcro left for their banner after they claimed we'd be using it.

He'd have to register as a sex offender as well. For the rest of his life. That might outweigh jail time for him. I'm glad this issue is being raised ina higher profile manner. I've been saying it all along and have been really surprised that an ambitious DA hasn't been trying to make headlines with it. It's got all of the elements to make for a high profile trial.

Scott Cox was involved in the favorable deal UL got with the Yum Center and I think
he still is involved with the Yum management. He's pretty heavily involved with UL and
now he's McGee's attorney. Hmm...couldn't be a more obvious conflict of interest here.

The biggest point that the author made was that if it was ANYONE else that did this they would already be in a jail cell. I love Kentucky and all but the corruption there is really bad.

yep. someone close to McGee needs to explain to him that his interests and the interests of UofL are not necessarily the same, and that this lawyer may be overly concerned with what's good for the school. He really needs to get another lawyer......

Louisville had people in the basketball program buy hookers for under age recruits. Read that sentence and let it sink in. If Louisville had any shred of decency they would completely clean house firing the AD and every person on the basketball staff. Start over and ask for mercy from the NCAA.

At this point, Louisville is trying make it go away and hang onto Pitino because he wins. If I was the NCAA that would show me they don't understand the magnitude of what they did so the punishment would be severe.

I would absolutely love to hear his side of the story. He has been sworn to secrecy and would not talk unless some pressure was placed on him. But, fact is, a crime has been committed here, a very serious crime. McGee won't talk unless possible jail time is included.

How devoted is he to Pitino. McGee never had any success under Pitiono so maybe it's not that strong.

Yeah, you may be right. One thing is sure- Pitino has sold him out completely. Rick has laid the entire blame on McGee. I'm sure Andre is tired of hearing RP lie publicly while denying having any knowledge of this thing. A threat of jail time might be the straw that breaks the camel's back for him .

There's always the fact that Pitino might have abused McGee. It's common for victims to cover up for those that have sexually abused them.

What happens to all the UL fans who bought 2013 Championship gear if the NCAA takes down their banner?
Could these fans sue UL for a refund since it was an action on their part that caused all this and brought financial harm to these fools?
Would they just hand out duck tape for all of them to tape over the words "Champion" and let things go?
Or for havens sake, do you think those idiots would keep wearing the shirts, hats, sweatshirts and act like nothing happened?
Only in the "Ville" could we see so much stupid

McGee probably has no proof of where the money came from so it will be a he said she said kind of thing. If he was involved Pitino is shrewd enough to "channel the money as through an intermediary" so that it could not be traced to him. I honestly don't believe that he provided the money, but he knew what was happening and looked the other way. Moral bankruptcy is a hell of a thing.

If I was you guys I would not hold my breath on waiting to see if McGee or anyone else talks. The world we are living in today most anyone with money can get by with anything.

UL is pimps and hos. How long is statue of limitations on pimping and promoting sex to recruits?

I think, and I am completely guessing, prostitution has a statute of limitations within a couple years. But this case would involve minors unless all the recruits were 18 or over, which is highly unlikely, therefore the statute of limitations is a lot longer. I'm not by any means comparing child abuse to this, but we've seen lots of cases that involve minors being prosecuted many years after they happened.

Bevin has been trying to but Beshear keeps getting in the way.
That's because former Governor Beshear,Andy Beshear, liberal posing as a conservative Mitch McConnell, and other Democrats in the state all got huge kickbacks and campaign contributions from Board of Trustee Appointees and other scum at UL.Pretty much like the Clintons have been getting exposed for.
