Halfway through the SEC schedule and UK is 6-3.

Thus far the average RPI of SEC games is 105 (losses to # 81, 108, and 124).

The remaining schedule has an average RPI of 53 with only one team above 100. This may very well get way worse before it gets better.

At this point, 6 conf losses is not only a possibility but highly likely.

2011 team revisited where they lay egg after egg on the road to inferior opponents but manage to stay focused at home.

Remains to be seen if we can stay perfect at home, if not we're in serious trouble.

Depends on how they decide to call the games. If the fouls are even we win. If they are not there is a good chance we lose on the road.

Blaming the refs is so stupid.

How about the UK players stop fouling all the time?

I got blasted in a 10 page thread for saying that after the Kansas game.

Then we do the same exact thing vs UT.

Refs make bad calls yeah sure...........but to ignore the fact that we have major issues fouling is silly at this point.

I dont see us losing to uga, ut or bama at home. Every other game you could easily argue we could lose. I have a hard time making an argument that we win any remaining road game, except maybe in athens. I think it will be extremely unlikely we win @a&m, @usc, @florida or lsu.

Big question is if we'll win another road game.

@USC
@Texas A&M
@Vandy
@Florida

Anyone confident in winning any of those?

Depends on which team shows up as they seem to play to the level of the opponent. The one that showed up at Kansas (although admittedly not much defense, but they scored mostly at will) or the one that showed up for Auburn and UT? The one that showed up to Kansas can probably win all the games but A&M. The one that showed up for Auburn and UT will lose home games and get run out of the gym in the remaining road games.

I'm actually most confident about the A&M game, mainly because of what you said about playing to the level of opponent. They'll get up for that game and likely have a chance to win it late. AT Florida and at Vandy scare me a lot... just get the feeling those could be blowouts. And yeah, I know Vandy has looked awful, but it's Memorial Gym, and they're playing UK.. they'll hinge their entire season on that one game.

This has what every team this year has done, with perhaps the exception of duke and uofl. Even kansas was up for us more than any team since mizzou played in there 4-5 years ago.

With Lee and Murray on defense, we have no chance to win at College Station.

Too many holes to play man-man and Cal ain't playing zone.

I think if you asked this question before the UT game, people would say we could win all four of those games.

Bottom line despite what happened last night, we could still very well go 4-0.
Currently we'd be a 1 point underdog @ USC, 7 points at AM, 2 points at Vandy and 4 points at Florida.

Obviously the AM game would be the toughest but with this team they could go 4-0 or 0-4 in them

How would you have answered your own question after the Kansas game Saturday? After we beat Arkansas at Arkansas?

Some of you guys ride this roller coaster and you're somehow able to convince yourself that the latest game revealed the "real" UK - only to be convinced after the next game that that's the "real" version.

Which is fine, I suppose, not sure why anyone would want to fall into that pattern, but whatever......

FYI, UK is now 1-5 in true road games.

So not sure what you're talking about with the recency bias stuff.

We were horrible on the road in 2011 as well and ended up making the title game.

Good thing NCAA tournaments are played on Neutral courts

Knight was our catalyst and got mugged on the road that year like Wall did the year before.

Also with 11 that's different.......those losses were extremely close. 6 of the 7 away losses were by 2 possessions or less.

This year two of our five road losses were already by double digits

So there is some difference here

We have won 2 road games this year. Bama and arky.

We made the FF in 2011.....not the title game.

I think we get two more road wins. We dominated Bama and arky, blew a 12 point second half lead against Auburn and a 21 point lead against UT. Not to mention a late second half 8 point lead at KU.

They just need to learn to finish them. And I think they will.

In those two road game wins both teams shot near the same amount of FTs. In our last three road losses the differential is absurd. I've pointed this out before and I will point it out again. Our first three losses we just flat out got beat FTs or no FTs In our last three loses we have outscored our opponents from the field. I know it doesn't seem like that at times but we have. I believe we will be fine so long as the fouls don't get lopsided against us.

I still believe in this team to make a run this year. I think Last night Poythress was playing well until he got saddled with foul trouble. When he went out in the first half we had a 21 point lead and he had to sit. Lee and Hawkins came in and that's when Tennessee went on their run. If Poythress stayed out of foul trouble last night I think we win that game by double digits.

Alex might be the most important player on this team. This isn't the first time all things went to crap when he gets into foul trouble and has to sit.
