How cool would it be if Cal had to take a leave of absence and we were able to see Welch coach the current roster?
He has a quiet confidence about him that I really like. Humble for sure, but seems like he's going to be a great addition to the CATS. Happy he's here and hope he's here for a long time. I think we will see an offensive difference this year that will be a credit to Welch's experience.

Nothing wrong with our offense.
Our defense has been the problem.
Defense and rebounding.
No rebounder at all in ‘21. Only Oscar the last 2 seasons.
Thankfully he was an all time great rebounder.
Both were personnel problems.
That’s been fixed.
I don’t disagree that the defense has been lacking the last few seasons. But there is never a bad time to upgrade the offense, especially if that means more free flowing basketball, and especially if that means more good recruits want to play in a modern NBA style offense.

this is spot on. The last few seasons the biggest issues have been on D . But never bad to update the offense. We have insanely good defensive players coming though so just on talent alone the D should be better.
