Had you rather have the UK cap sitting on the table when the decision was made by the number one high school running back in the nation, or not have it there at all, (like UL), even though he didn't choose us?

That's not what people are upset about.
Look, I hate all of the threads about the kid as much as the next guy, but I completely understand why they're there.
It's not the fact that the kid didn't pick UK, it's that the kid knew where he was going, for a month and a half before his announcement. He talked last night as if he didn't know himself where he was going. He made it seem like he would be UK bound. He got free tickets to basketball games, he led the staff around as if they don't have anything better that they could be doing for this program, and he seemingly spurned us.
It was just a classless act to lead coaches for football programs, fans in your home state, and whoever else may be concerned on our behalf, around the world for the sake of him wanting to have an "exciting, hyped announcement".
That is why people are so angry with him.

I understand that, and appreciate your response, but that still doesn't answer the question I submitted.

What's the difference ?...In recruiting you don't get pts for finishing second or third depending on where we finished...

If you want the straightforward to the obvious, then alright.
No, I couldn't care less if the UK hat was on the table or not. As mentioned, you don't get points for placing in 2nd in recruiting.
I may be different from some people though. If I lose, I lose, I don't say "well, I almost won".
That's just me though.

NO!

I would have REALLY preferred him dropping us entirely 6 weeks ago when he knew he was not UK bound so we still had a shot at getting a good RB for the 2015 class.

Anybody that thinks differently must be seeing things from a completely different, radical perspective than most UK fans IMO.

Alabama can afford to go "all in" on a talented prospect and risk not coming away with anybody at said position due to their EXTREME NFL caliber depth up and down the roster.

Even though CMS has been performing miracles on the recruiting trail, Kentucky does not have that luxury yet.

I would have preferred he had Alabama and Ohio St. hats only . Then I wouldn't have wasted my time watching .
