Corner has quickly turned into a team strength. It's awesome to see.
Like everything else, not as good as appears or as bad as appears. Stoops proud of what MH did but he still has plenty of work to do. Anyway, according to Pro Football Focus, Hairston is first in the league with an 85.8 grade and Phillips is second in the league with an 82% grade. Hairston has been unbelievable. He will be playing on Sundays at this rate.
Well, they have graded out higher.
I’ve heard coach’s say cornerback relies more upon sheer athleticism than preparation/experience.
Along with Trevin Wallace, that’s two DPOWs in four weeks. Not bad at all.
More accolades for Hairston, this kid was a steal imo.
Year after year we lose guys, worry about inexperience and lack of depth coming into the season, and then end up being good at that position. I can only remember one recent year that CB was a weakness. Stoops was confident pre-season and that was enough to quiet my concerns.
Childress has played well. Geiger is doing good especially if you consider he is coming back from a season ending knee injury that happened to be last year at UF.
Saw Lonnie Johnson get an INT last week too.
