Congratulations: Noel NBA All-Rookie First Team

Congrats to Nerlens, well deserved.

It's awesome seeing good things happen for a good guy and that his perseverance is slowly starting to pay off.

Came here to post this but someone beat me to it! So proud of Nerlens. Hopefully Philly makes a good couple of picks this year and starts the climb out of the basement.

He'll be great player in the near future.

Wish he had stayed with AD. That would have been very interesting. SO much athleticism inside.

Ofcourse they would have been a tad bit soft but in couple years, they would man the best interior.

Anyone who ever says "WCS doesn't have a NBA skill set" look at Nerlens. Nerlens can't shoot, he's skinnier than the average center, he has an injury history, can't really put the ball on the floor, and NONE of that matters. He can run, fight on the boards, block shots, and put back garbage and that is all any team wants at C. WCS can do all that too. BOTH of them will have 100m career earnings barring severe injury.

But Nerlens has a more consistent high level of effort. That is a big difference.

Just stop and don't go their. Nerlens makes WCS look time a grade HS kid.
WCS should of averaged double digit rebounds and 5-7 blocks a game not to mention having 10-12 points if he was anywhere close to Nerlens.
Nerlens was far better as a freshmen than WCS as a junior. It's in between the ears that is the key and so far nothing that WCS has shown shows he has that key.
Nerlens has it.

WCS doesn't have 1/10th the competitiveness of Noel and not even close on instincts. Bad comparison friend.

Exactly. I'm struggling to remember a game where we were left saying "Noel didn't play hard tonight". Noel's competitive nature means most likely will work out for him, even without a post move or ability to hit a jumper. WCS has a ways to go to get there.

Noel on this UK team IMO win the title, no way Frank has his way with Noel. The sixers have a chance to be good if Embiid can return back healthy. They will be able to get Russell or whichever guard they want in the draft. Still a few years away, but with some good draft picks they got a chance.
