I will periodically update as the season progresses.
We have two (2) excellent PGs this year in Wheeler and Wallace, imho.

For discussion: I think it's interesting to note that John Wall had a much higher TO/MIN than Wheeler. This could be due to the speed they play at. Fox, who played very fast, was better than both of them in that metric, but he tended to drive and shoot more ... which would eliminate turnover potential, imho. A scoring point guard is not going to turn it over as much, usually, because they are looking to score more than set others up. Who you play with also has a lot to do with it ... some players have better hands than others.

Ulis, one of my all-time favorite players, had phenomenal playmaking statistics. He was certainly quick, although not ultra-fast, but just simply a helluva college point guard ... as we all know. I loved Ulis !!

Looking at those numbers a huge question rings out?

How did Teague believe he was ready for the nba?

my goodness--41.2%fg--32.5%3P--71.4%ft--1.75 A/To ratio. Numbers did not lie--Teague was not ready.

I still think that for Cal's uber-talented teams.. give me Ulis at the point above all.

Now, if we need scoring from our PG spot, or if we need our PG to carry us, I'd take others like Wall or Knight or Fox.

The majority of the rosters under Cal, though.. I'm picking Ulis. He's the point-god, and is the type of PG that can get the most out of the 4 other players on the floor.

I’d take Ulis at the point 11 out of ten times.

People really haven't gotten by now? It's not about being ready for the NBA. It never has been and it never will be. It's about being draftable, and Teague got drafted. He was never going to be "ready for the NBA". He struck while the iron was hot and made himself a good deal of cash.
