Commits today, 2-1-'15?

Guys are finishing visits to UK and elsewhere, are you expecting commits today? I am although I don't know who. What say you?

All we can do is hope and then maybe Lewis later this week ..... And a few signing day surprises!!!

With at least 9 scholarships left to fill, depending on what Strowbridge does, and with 3 days to fill them, I am expecting more recruiting news every day. Guessing that most of the news will happen on Tuesday and Wednesday. But wouldn't be surprised if someone commits today or tomorrow.

Lewis announces Tuesday. He's now a more important recruit than Damien Harris.

Don't know if I'd go that far but Lewis is very important. Good prospect plus keep expanding UK's footprint in Metro DC.

Maybe I should clarify. Today he's more important than Harris was back when he announced. We've since lost the Dowells we need as much for perception as anything, another 4 star guy in this class. Lewis will be the highest rated recruit Stoops has signed since he's been here. He fills an immediate need. Harris is great but we have decent RB's. The class isn't a total disaster if he goes to UM but we really need him to put on a UK hat Tuesday. Just my opinion.

The question is do we want the coaching staff signing a lot of players that were way down on their list to just have warm bodies to fill the slots. IMO unless they can get players that have a reasonable chance to help down the road . They should reserve some SSs to back sign players next December. IMO unless they can get a player that can contribute right away it matters little if the player is signed now or back signed in December. IMO most of the players they can get now will need to redshirt.

After working so hard to clear the roster of Jokers recruiting mistakes I have zero worry of Stoops signing guys who cannot compete in the SEC

No and I trust thus staff not to do that. If they sign a guy it's not for a warm body. It's because they think he can play in the SEC. Otherwise they will carry the SS over to 2016.

Yep - I think a lot of Phillip's players looked a lot better on Rivals then they did on the field, Stoops' recruits look sort of the opposite.

I do not anticipate that we will hear a lot of commitments today. It's Super Bowl Sunday and players may likely not want to get lost in that hoopla. Besides, I suspect many players not yet signed were on their last OV this weekend and may be traveling. I hope I am wrong as I would like to hear good news now!

I would assume Ross commits todays unless the staff wants him to 'take his time' so to speak.

Admit to not being up to date on AD Miller, does UK have a legit shot at him? Think he visited Oklahoma this weekend. Not sure UK would take Miller, Gosier and Ross, maybe 2 of them but Miller's the one I'd like to have.

Kentucky has a legit shot at Miller but I won't be surprised if he signs somewhere else. With Greenwood and Richardson already committed, we take 1 or 2 more receivers. I do not believe Gosier is coming. Ross wants the scholarship. Miller de-committed from Illinois the day after Shannon Dawson visited him, which suggested an understanding with Dawson. So Miller could be the 4th receiver, but Oklahoma got the last visit.
