Collision causes headache, nosebleed and forces Marcus Lee out of UK loss

Would have been a completely different game with Lee in there. His inside presence on defense, his rebounding and offensive put backs were desperately needed last night and would have completely changed the game. We are a different team without him.

Not only do we lose Lee's defense and put-backs.. but the team had no idea what to do without him. If Lee were to go down in say, March.. ok, the team can adjust, they know who fills in his areas, and who doesn't. It was a double whammy in my eyes.

Lee is likely the difference between winning by 4 or 5 and losing by 12 or whatever the final number was in the end. He's a hustle guy who plays great defense. Parker would have had more trouble with Lee guarding him.

Hope there is no concussion and he's feeling good and is in great shape for the next game.

I thought some of our few bright moments in the game were when Lee and Poythress were in the game. When Lee went down, Poy started over extending on defense, even when Skal was in the game. Things started going south after that.

Nobody has mentioned him but I thought Isaac Humphries had a really good game. He was forced into a role he is really not ready for. He acquitted himself well. Good effort. Played strong. Learned a lot about his game that will make it much better. Got some experience in front of a hostile crowd.

Lee is a tough kid. Poythress is still not yet psychologically where he needs to be, and will be. So we should be able to handle something like this better in Feb/Mar than now.
Also Skal simply isn't contributing now. Not unless he going against under sized guys. He's still trying to figure out how to play against equals, and he still needs to learn to "fight for it".

Last night, I rewound at half time, and just watched Lee, and didn't see anything that could have caused this. Must have happened when he was out of the picture. Hopefully not a concussion.
