It’s just not what we do. The few times we’ve tried to run 2 min we have failed. (Save Iowa) but still yet Wandale got destroyed on a ball over the middle and somehow held on, then made a great individual effort on another catch to set up the score).

But this is new for Kirby Smart. He has been roundly criticized during most his UGA tenure for being "too conservative." Such as: 1990's flavor of offense, over reliance on the run game, not getting reps and sets for backup QBs, letting 4 and 5 star WRs go underutilized throughout their tenure at UGA, sticking with OK QBs while 5 star QBs sit the bench, counting on the D to all but shut out opponents, etc.

Only in the past year or two has he accrued the talent and confidence in an OC to open the game up somewhat and even so...not nearly to the level of Lane K, Nick S. and so on.

I'd like to see us more aggressive at the end of the half as well, but CMS has his way of doing business and it has moved us (slowly) to a respectable level of SEC FB. And..... he did open the O somewhat last year....more throwing than in the past this year as well.

He might have a Kirby revelation on offensive philosophy, but I don't see drastic changes out of CMS....I see incremental change over time as we had with the arrival of Coen.

Unfortunately, it seems that when UK does try to work a 2 min drill before the half that it usually ends badly for some reason. As a result, it just further justifies not doing it again to coach Stoops.

Fla now only trails 28 -20 with 3 minutes left in the 3rd...always need to be aggressive on offense till the game is in hand! We'll have to deal witha lot of that tonight.
