Where does Cobb play next year? I don't think he'll be a Packer. They're kinda deep a receiver and I don't see Cobb giving them a discount.

Jordy Nelson signed an extension over the summer, and with the way Devante Adams emerged late in the season, I could see the Packers not wanting to have so much money tied up in one position. I hope Randall gets as much as he can. He certainly deserves it.

They won't let him go. He is arguably the most important receiver on the team and one of the best in the League.

Agree, but if he were to leave a good spot for him on a team that has some cap space are the Panthers. Solid defense but needs some more firepower on offense. WR was a weak spot for them this year along with injuries to the backfield. Get those guys healthy and add someone like Cobb and I think they become a legit Super Bowl contender.

I don't claim to know how Cobb feels, but he's on a Super Bowl contending team as long as Rodgers is there.

For some guys that means a lot.

If they hadn't laid an egg in Buffalo, and dropped 100 passes, that championship game would have been played in Lambert Field........;)

Cobb is loved by fans, players and more importantly, the administration in GB. He will remain a Packer, albeit a very rich one...

Rodgers has openly stated he wants Cobb to remain a Packer. Do you think the administration isn't going to do what their star quarterback wants when it comes to HIS targets?

Posted from Rivals MobileYep. If Rodgers wants him back he should be back.

I can't imagine any scenario that would have them playing at the St. Louis airport.

they are not deep at reciever. Cobb, Nelson, and Adams is it. Boykin plays as the backup to those 3. Cobb will get PAID by green bay. His is their glue guy.

He's a main cog in that offense for sure but what makes him valuable is he isn't just a receiver, he lines up in the backfield and runs the ball occasionally, and can return punts or kickoffs when needed. He is also an excellent blocker. So even though he is expensive, the team gets a lot of bang for the buck.

Having said that the reality of the salary cap is that many times teams have to let go of guys they really want to keep. That's especially true of the top teams that have many great performers all of whom want to get paid. He is a great fit for the packers and he and Rogers have established an excellent report so I hope they can work things out to keep him there.

GB is a great fit for him. That said, he is a very valuable commodity, he has to shop himself around. This is the contract that guarantees his finances for life.

He will cash a big check, stay in GB, and to his everlasting credit, leave GB in a position to field a competitive roster, because he wants to compete. He could probably go somewhere else and command even more, but he will stay in GB for a nice raise and the pride of being a Packer. I really see him as someone who operates like this.

Did you guys notice him checking in with Bostick after the onside kick?

Randall Cobb is pure class.

Unless you're talking a Megatron, Gronk or Dez Bryant type player, it doesn't make much sense to spent up for WR's in the NFL. Pass catchers aren't a particularly rare commodity.

Two franchises that understand this ... Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.

It's not about Cobb's value to the Packers. Everyone knows how much he means to the offense. However, has someone already said, they have Nelson locked up and Adams came on strong this year. The Packers will have $25 million in cap space this upcoming offseason. That doesn't take in effect the rookies they have to pay so it will be less than that. Will Green Bay be willing to give roughly a 25% of its available space to one player? Other free agents for Green Bay are Tramon Williams, BJ Raji, Bryan Bulaga, and Jarrett Bush. They won't be able to bring all of them back most likely. Do you keep your WR with Nelson and an emerging rookie already on the team or do you bring back your defenders on a struggling defense? Whether or not Cobb is a Packer next year won't be a reflection of what Green Bay thinks of him, it'll just be whether or not they can pay him.

That's it, they are not real deep at WR. The rookie TE will also be more of a factor going forward, but I believe they will lock up Cobbie to a solid 4 or 5 year deal to keep him, Nelson, and Adams for a good while !.

Lambert Field or Lambeau Field??

I think Cobb will be a Packer next season, they are not deep at all at WR. He is practically the only WR they have that will go across the middle. Nelson is more of an outside guy, who very rarely goes anywhere near the middle of the field. Plus I think Rodgers will fight for them to keep Cobb.

He is from Tennessee isn't he? I highly doubt he would want to play for a team so far from contention as the Titans are, but boy would I be happy if he went down to Nashville. With that being said, it's not going to happen. He's staying in Green Bay which is awesome for him and gives me a NFC team to cheer for. It was pretty awesome seeing three wildcats playing in one nfl playoff game last night.

The entire nfl except GB were idiots for not drafting cobb when the opportunity was there. Like mentioned by others here, he is loved by the fanbase and rodgers. Imo he isnt going anywhere. If he does leave, then GB falls in that same idiot list I mentioned above.
Youtube cobb and you will see all the amazing accomplishments he has delivered as a packer. Especially his epic 109 yard kickoff return that put him on the nfl map and history book.

hhe is the best slot reciever in the league! have heard many state this in the league he makes nelson better as well as adams on the outside by being great in the slot! he has had the best numbers in the slot over the last couple of years! Slot recievers are in high demand more so than outside recievers! Gronk is the best value as a TE who is a slot at heart he makes the NE offense go.

He'll no doubt be one of the hottest free agents.

Does he want to contend for titles, or get the bank?

I think Green Bay could offer him a decent deal, but they are small market and have a lot tied up with Rogers, Nelson, Peppers, and Matthews...

He's only 25 years old, so he will have another opportunity to be a free agent and get some good money.

If Randall signed a 5-7 year deal with Green Bay at a home town rate, he would be on the market again around 30 or so, have plenty left in the tank, and maybe some hardware and more stats that he could use to get a bigger check from Green Bay or from someone else...

If he did elect to test the market...I think he is a perfect, cerebral type of receiver to play with guys like Peyton, Brady, or Luck...

He'd fit nicely into the Brady/Belichick system...he's a good route runner and play maker after the catch...

Broncos...he could be good for Petyon who can't quite get the ball down field as far as he used to...so randall would be a nice piece that could run short crisp timing routs and get yards after the catch...RC is a real smart player who could get on Peyton's mental level...

Colts really need somebody to pair with Luck...he and RC could do some things for the next decade...

I think RC would do some damage in the Chip Kelley offense...because he could play multiple positions from wildcat QB to RB in some situations and attack space...

I had read the article about Rodgers pushing for him back some time ago. And he is very multitalented on offense, BUT-----

Did anyone else notice the one interception where he and Rodgers apparently got their signals crossed, how he fought off a blocker and pulled the DB down with one hand?

Maybe they need him in their prevent defense also.

Is this a serious question?

I mean, how many recievers are better than Cobb in the nfl?

at the slot there are 0 better! a good slot though makes your other recievers that much better though. the Pats use gronk in similar ways a slot works and that make LaFell better

Maybe if the Titans get Cobb drunk enough on a visit to Nashville, and offer him double what anyone else does, maybe he comes home to TN. I doubt it though, my Titans suck.

i agree i wish my titans would do something radical! the #2 pick this year sucks! there isnt anything id take at 2, in my opinion trade #2 for a team willing to getting rid of their Qb and addtheir 1st round pick and pick Bud mid-late 1st. tht takes care f our qb prob and then we get bud who is a great DE/OLB that will fill 2 needs

Bad QBs tend to make good receivers look pretty bad. That should be the main focus...who can pay me the most and who has the best QB of the bunch.

Subsonic. The rumors are that the titan are interested in trading with Chicago for jay cutler. You may just get what you asked for. Although as a bears fa. I'm not sold on marriotta at 2.

Cobb needs to do whatever is best for his and his family's security after football. He should see what his market value is by testing the waters of free agency. If the Packers are unwilling, or unable to pay him his fair market value he should move on. NFL careers are short, guys have to get paid while they can. If his value is 8 mil a year around the league wouldn't be in his best interest to stay at BG for 5 mil a year, as crazy as that sounds.

Being a Giants fan, I agree with Kooky Kats. Those three grouped together would be sick. Then get Eli to throw to them instead of the CBs for the other team, and back to the Giants defense of old, and can get back to the playoffs.
