... b/c you correctly say that Stoops is going nowhere (can't afford the buyout) is exactly why Barnhart should be fired.I agree stoops is going nowhere but as long as he is here any coaching changes is akin to rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic.
That's pretty simple if you have watched the games. Coaches who have underperformed and need to be changed:Which of our coaching have under preformed on and/or off the field this year? Which ones do you feel need to be let go and why? Which position groups should have done better? which coaches don't pull their weight recruiting?
I just don't get how anyone can say the DC has underperformed and needs to be changed. This year the defense took a step back but they lost a lot of experience. I saw a stat that said the defense this year lost a total of 41 (or something like that) SEC starts from the defense last year. That is an insane number. Prior to this year, only GA, AL, and UK were ranked top 5 in SEC defenses for the last 5 years. Brad White has earned the benefit of the doubt based on previous years. That's pretty simple if you have watched the games. Coaches who have underperformed and need to be changed:

BW has had a horrible year calling defensive plays. He just couldn't seem to get the right call, get the play call in on time, and certainly had the slowest start on defense in every game since he has been here. I have heard him say he just couldn't make the right call in some of these games.I just don't get how anyone can say the DC has underperformed and needs to be changed. ONE bad year...You don't get fired after one bad year when you lose that much starting experience and have had the success he has had.BW had a horrible year calling defensive plays. His passive, laid back approach to defense is reflective of his personality in my opinion.
Slow talker. Slow thinker. Slow to react. His defense plays that way. Absolutely refuses to attack teams that have way less talent on offense than we have on defense.
His passive scheme against the uptempo fast paced offenses just will not work.
How many games do we have to lose before he and CMS get it????
Can he change his scheme/defensive philosophy??
If not, he needs to go or we will continue this downward trend of losing to teams we should not be losing to.
I am in no way advocating for BW to get fired.ONE bad year...You don't get fired after one bad year when you lose that much starting experience and have had the success he has had.
Your initial post flat out listed DC as a coach that needed to be changed.I am in no way advocating for BW to get fired.
BUT, if he continues to falter in defending spread/tempo offenses and refuses to change how he attacks on defense, I am hoping he finds greener pastures and moves on.
BW has had way more than ONE bad year in ATTEMPTING to defend modern offenses.
I understand he is coaching the CMS defense.
Does CHANGED mean FIRED???Your initial post flat out listed DC as a coach that needed to be changed.
Just ridiculous statements. BW had repeatedly has our defense ranked among the best in conference and nationally. One down year while losing a monumental amount of experience and you think he needs to go. I’ve read a bunch of absolutely horrible takes on here, but yours might be the worst.Does CHANGED mean FIRED???
Yes, I think we need a change at DC. I would prefer he find another job and choose to leave on his own.
The LSU job will probably be open again this year. He probably should have taken that job last year, in retrospect.
Another year at UK like this year, and BW will lose a lot of his credibility as being a viable candidate for DC at a prominent football school like LSU.
Then stop reading my post. Nobody forcing you to read my opinions. Use the ignore button.Just ridiculous statements. Not angry at all. Just pointing out the holes in your position as well as your inability to acknowledge the overall success rate of BW.Then stop reading my post. Nobody forcing you to read my opinions. Use the ignore button.
You seem really angry that someone has an opinion different from yours. That is not a good look for you.
Sooo, calling someone's post " ridiculous, horrible, and the worst of all of them" is just pointing out holes in my position. Not angry at all. Just pointing out the holes in your position as well as your inability to acknowledge the overall success rate of BW.
Those were just statements about your post after pointing out the holes in them which prompted you to double down.Sooo, calling someone's post " ridiculous, horrible, and the worst of all of them" is just pointing out holes in my position.
Lol.
OK, Dude.
I am concerned what effect Mike Stoops has had on this year. You know he is in Marks ear alot. I am surprised this isn’t discussed more.I am in no way advocating for BW to get fired.

Linebacker play has been below expectations this year without a doubt.I am concerned what effect Mike Stoops has had on this year. You know he is in Marks ear alot. I am surprised this isn’t discussed more.
Let it go, man. Those were just statements about your post after pointing out the holes in them which prompted you to double down.
It's like the band coming back for another song while the ship is sinking. Only delaying the inevitable.I agree stoops is going nowhere but as long as he is here any coaching changes is akin to rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic.
I would fire Barnhart and the Head Coach and that would take care of the rest of them. Legitimate quality coaches will not work under Stoops because he is at the heart of the problem. Barnhart has put this program in one hell of a bad spot and to pretend otherwise is just dishonest.I’d fire
Oline
Dline
Wide receiver
Secondary
Well the inside liber to me has been solid in Jackson and WallaceLinebacker play has been below expectations this year without a doubt.
The bigger question is does Mike have CMS ear more than BW in game planning on defense.
I actually think Wallace has taken a step back in his play this year, and Jackson is a thumper in run defense but can't cover his own shadow in pass coverage.Well the inside liber to me has been solid in Jackson and Wallace
Now the jack lber has been very unproductive in JJ weaver..to which Brad white coaches that position
The other glaring issue is safety. Childress and Lovett have been bad …especially Childress. Buffano has a lot to answer why he can’t Coach Childress ti blow huge plays in about every sec game
I haven't gone back and watched any UK games this year because, frankly, I just can't stomach to watch the crap we put on the field again. But the last few games it seems like Rayner is coming in on 3rd down for Jackson a lot. Our 3rd down defense has been terrible this year. Hopefully getting a little more speed on the field will help.I actually think Wallace has taken a step back in his play this year, and Jackson is a thumper in run defense but can't cover his own shadow in pass coverage.
Watching Jackson trying to drop in zone coverage knowing the next thing you are going to see are the numbers on the back of his jersey is priceless.
Totally agree on JJ. He has had a really disappointing season. Time for him to move on.
Rayner has the speed to cover but needs at least 25 pounds to play every down.I haven't gone back and watched any UK games this year because, frankly, I just can't stomach to watch the crap we put on the field again. Wallace was a completely different player after his injury against Florida. I'm not sure what the injury was but it has zapped his explosiveness. Hopefully he sits out the Spring and gets totally healthy, because he is just a shell of what he was prior to the injury.I actually think Wallace has taken a step back in his play this year, and Jackson is a thumper in run defense but can't cover his own shadow in pass coverage.

D Line and RB were our best and most consistent position groups.Anwar Stewart can go too.
I forgot what injury he suffered, but it or something is certainly affecting his lateral quickness and speed to the ball based on his earlier play at LB.Wallace was a completely different player after his injury against Florida. Wallace's injury was to his shoulder. He and Jackson tied for tackle leaders vs U6 with 11 each.I forgot what I jury he suffered, but it or something is certainly affecting his lateral quickness and speed to the ball based on his earlier play at LB.
Sure hope he can recover whatever it is. Love his game.
Wallace, Jackson and Weaver each had their best games of the year against UL.Wallace's injury was to his shoulder. He and Jackson tied for tackle leaders vs U6 with 11 each.
