Coach stoops almost slips on C-Rod

Was watching the Paul fienbaum show when stoops was on and during the conversation of C-Rod. He almost slipped and said investigation but changed his words. Sorry don’t have a clip but it was definitely heading there from his mouth. My guess this isn’t going to end as well as we a want it too. Did anyone else notice it?

Yup heard the same thing. If they are still investigating then this will take a long long time. They will drag their feet for the year if they can.

Had no idea this was an NCAA issue. Must be a pretty big deal if they’re investigating. Not expecting to have him back this season if the NCAA is involved.

I don't think NCAA investigation was mentioned, not sure on that though. There can be other investigations than NCAA! Remember Stoops has said there are layers to this!

So lets see, CRod is done, the investigation will go on all season causing a distraction throughout the program all season and we could have to forfeit all the games from last season because CRod played and was gettin paid. The Bear is smiling in his grave. Will this force Stoops out?

Used to start around the first week in November. Not sure anymore, and don’t care. Will start caring again when Cal says adios. Not Barney.

I think this may be stoops last year before he parts for greener pastures.

Totally understand, and I know he didn’t have a lot to do with last time in bb. But…… and again, I know what you are saying, we’ve always been on the same page. My opinion, Cal stinks to high heaven. Always has. Maybe, just maybe, we would have been just as well off with a Barney pick. I’d sure as hell take my chances. That’s just me. Now bring the thunder if you want, I still respect you.

Yeah there’s a little bit of overreaction going on IMO. Guys going to build something for 10 years and then leave because one player gets suspended? This shit happens all the time and people deal with it, just like Stoops will. JMHO

That’s true travis but I was unclear on the date NIL was instituted in Ky which has been stated as 7/21 so good chance this all occurred post that date at least hopefully it did so wins last yr may not need to be forfeited.

If CMS bolts out of here Bear Bryant style, I’m done with UK anything and everything. The coach who will win more games than the legend then bolt because his hands are tied—eff this university (which I attended)

I thought it'd be a bad interview, and it was. Finebaum loves to stir up shit when he can. He couldn't wait to ask him about Roman Harper's comments hoping he's say something to stoke some controversy. Who the hell cares what an analyst has to say? Unless it's Napier or a Florida player saying it, it's a non-story. And he asked him about the Cal stuff, which he's clearly tired of talking about. Stoops had a sarcastic laugh at one point. Even he knew Paul was more interested in gossip than interviewing him about the Florida game.
