All true but I’m not talking 2-3 years. Florida may do well to finish 4-8. If that happens there will be an opening this December. He'll be the most sought-after coach in 2-3 years...coincidentally a few things could go down in that same time frame...
-Saban retires...
-Harbaugh gets his title and heads back to the league...
-Dallas moves on from McCarthy goes after Lincoln Rielly which opens up USC gig or goes after Prime...
-OSU boots Day...especially if Harbaugh wins a title and/or keeps beating him
-Even though he just won 10 games and seems to have things on track at FSU...if Norvell so much as sneezes on a co-ed...don't think it's going to take much for the Noles to go after Prime...
Agreed. The only thing I'd add is this going the other way. He'll be the most sought-after coach in 2-3 years...coincidentally a few things could go down in that same time frame...

OT - I can't believe how average to bad UF has been with all of their built in advantages and F$U being pretty irrelevant. I also think Hillbilly is Satterfield-Lite. That ain't gonna work in Gainesville.Don’t see Florida taking that kind of a gamble but who knows. Lots of football left this year so have to see how well he does the remainder of the year.
I don’t want Florida to ever find a good coach again lol. That would be terrible if Prime went there. All true but I’m not talking 2-3 years. Florida may do well to finish 4-8. If that happens there will be an opening this December.
I think he’s a solid coach so far, I like the way he approaches the game and he’s definitely not afraid to cut kids. At a big program where he can really recruit that is huge. Fans will know he won’t accept mediocre talent on the team if he can help it. He’s got a big name. I’ll just say his potential to be really good seems there. Not sure why everyone is predicting greatness after one (great) game at CO plus beating up on a bunch of HBCUs with a distinct talent advantage. Lots of flashes in the pan with a ton of hype - hell, look at Hal Mumme.
So I am still on the fence. Let's see how the next few games go along with how TCU's season ends up (speaking of possible flashes in the pan).
Man, have to say both Texas schools made underwhelming hires, especially UT. You just can’t win 6-9 games with all that talent unless there’s a problem at the top imo.A lot of people think his ultimate goal is the FSU job. But he has a lot of ties to the state of Texas, he lived there most of the time after his NFL career, started a hs academy there. And was very influential in getting Colorado to rejoin the Big 12 so he could recruit Texas.
So, maybe to Austin if Sark flops when they join the SEC? Or the volatile Jimbo experiment burns out in College Station?

September 23rd- September 30th Will us what we need to know early abkut Colorado. They play @oregon and USC at home, those games will tell a lot. FSU finally appears to have righted their ship. The LSU game tonight should be a good one. Interested to see how good Kelly is gonna have them this year. I’m sure they will be pretty elite though.OT - I can't believe how average to bad UF has been with all of their built in advantages and F$U being pretty irrelevant. Wait until he runs into a team with a defense before crowning him. TCU ain’t it.
Florida hasn’t exactly made great hires since Spurrier left 22 years ago:Don’t see Florida taking that kind of a gamble but who knows. Lots of football left this year so have to see how well he does the remainder of the year.
I think Florida’s hiring record speaks more to the fact that it’s extremely difficult to find and hire a head coach that works out. The vast majority of hires aren’t going to last.Florida hasn’t exactly made great hires since Spurrier left 22 years ago:
Ron Zook
Urban Meyer
Will Muschamp
Jim McElwain
Dan Mullen
Billy Napier
1 good hire in their last 6, and 4 bad hires in a row unless Napier turns it around. People give Mitch a hard time…how the hell does Florida keep striking out on football coaches again and again and again.
Makes no sense especially since Meyer had them rolling.Florida hasn’t exactly made great hires since Spurrier left 22 years ago:

Don’t forget Mike Price.I think Florida’s hiring record speaks more to the fact that it’s extremely difficult to find and hire a head coach that works out. The vast majority of hires aren’t going to last.
If you look at other schools, you’ll see similar patterns. Take Alabama for example. In between Bryant and Saban, they hired:
That’s a 20 year period where Alabama made only one good hire in Stallings.
- Bill Curry
- Gene Stallings
- Mike DuBose
- Dennis Franchione
- Mike Shula
Ha! I completely forgot about that fiasco.Don’t forget Mike Price.
Yep…Mal Moore (beloved Bama AD) hired Franchione, Mike Price and Shula as his first 3 football hires.I think Florida’s hiring record speaks more to the fact that it’s extremely difficult to find and hire a head coach that works out. The vast majority of hires aren’t going to last.

They don't need another circus act...He succeeds Sunbelt Billy at Florida.
IDK man, he has a huge ego that needs to be satisfied; I could see him possibly going to the SEC if the right job came open and I’m betting Texas and aTm will be shopping for new coaches within two years.Sanders will probably stay in Colorado, unless he jumps to the NFL. Why go to a pressure cooker like Alabama or Michigan? He owns the entire state of Colorado. They're already saying that CU football is bigger than the Broncos right now. Everything in Colorado is Buffs right now. In a few years, they'll have a gold chain hanging outside of Folsom Stadium. He's not jumping unless it's the pros.
Wouldn't surprise me if he did something stupid that puts a black mark on himself as far as being hired at a big program. Dude's ego is off the charts and I'm not convinced he won't outright endorse or look the other way on some less than sanctioned behaviors. But with the way the NCAA is going today maybe no one will care. He'll be the most sought-after coach in 2-3 years...coincidentally a few things could go down in that same time frame...

I don’t think Prime’s methods will work in the NFL. Doubtful if he would get to pick and choose players at will.Colorado is a beautiful place and school . They have won in past . Prime makes a bunch of money already and he has proven he can get transfers at drop of hat . Lol Why get in a hurry Dallas Cowboys will come calling he is not going anywhere for year or 2
Hell I think Florida would take him right this minute if they could.Don’t see Florida taking that kind of a gamble but who knows. Lots of football left this year so have to see how well he does the remainder of the year.
If their coach leaves players usually get an exemption. His team is made of up transfers, including his sons. Absent a grad transfer or an exception, the Sanders boys will be at Colorado. So, I doubt Deion is anxious to leave anytime soon.
