I know it is a lot of rambling but if you can decipher what he is saying it's in response to people who had the nerve to question Duke losing 3 of their last 4 games. So he is basically saying support the players and don't question my coaching.

“I mean, you can question my coaching and what the hell — and then when you do question it, but the way, just come into Cameron and look up in the ceiling, and then find out if you should question that,” Krzyzewski said on Duke's postgame radio show. “But don’t do anything with our players. Just support ‘em.”

Those five words clarify exactly what he meant: "I've won five national titles, so y'all can just shut the hell up."

I used to have so much respect for k but there’s just been too many instances lately that shows who he truly is. He has let the titles and ESPN slurpfest get to his head. He’s never humble in defeat and when he wins comes off as a douchebag. He’s not the type of coach that up and coming coaches should model themselves after. Just like his mentor.

you don’t have to respect all of a coach’s pedigree if you don’t respect how it was all garnered. winning matters and for that part i respect him. i don’t respect how his program was maintained since the mid 90’s. he’s had moments like the ‘10 team that got a clear path. which was not a talented team. other than that he has had it pretty easy and there’s little doubt in my mind he was pipelining players since the brand/avery class.

Yeah he’s a prick but only a moron would question his coaching.
also for @rockout1
that is thing...NO ONE, questioned his coaching ...HE brought this up, because some of his players were getting blasted on social media.

and yes, his coaching can be questioned (and should be)...he has more talent than anyone the last three years, he had three top ten picks last year, he had a "once in a generation player last year"...how many titles does he have to show for that, how many championship games, how many FFs?.

Cal get shit everyday, over less

Over less? Duke and UK have been neck and neck in recruiting since Cal got here, Except maybe for last year. Some years we have the better class some years they do.

i think he will retire after next year if they go deep this year. he’s up to date with his brand and all that because of serious help, but the actual game is passing him by in terms of player power. i don’t think he’s going to stick around longer to have to evolve any further. although that would be very political of him. frankly the holes in his recruiting brand have already been patched up for all their worth by the media and basketball associations and had it maintaining for years. but now we’re entering new waters i don’t think he will be able to handle. he’s an annoying control freak and that opportunity comes with winning. but his style is purely old school. his coddling doesn’t fool anyone. i don’t think he will succeed without control and this is why i never thought he’d be a good nba coach.

That's not necessarily true. Before this year we've only had, if memory serves me correct, 1 top 5 kid since 2014 and that was Skal. Duke in the same time has had 9 top 5 kids based on Rivals rankings. We may have had the 1st ranked class but sometimes it's been due to having more kids not necessarily better kids in our class.

He really doesn't have much to crow about. So they beat a 9-10 conference team that just so happen to beat them too. Wow, nothing newsworthy here. It still doesn't mean this team is a title contender. K will never admit it, but deep down he knows it and can't do anything about.

What's wrong with that?

I absolutely despise Duke but to be fair if Cal said exactly the same thing we would say "we like Swaggy Cal". Most people in those roles that have had a great deal of success are somewhat arrogant. Just my two cents....
Biggest difference in our program is that we can claim our legacy, he can only claim his in his lifetime. Cal wouldn’t make that damn comment, even though his coaching is criticized the majority of the season. Until late Feb when we are all like, damn! “Cal knows how to get these guys ready”.

One can question his coaching if anyone remembers the “stomp” in 92. He should have had the integrity to bench CL but he didn’t. That’s a part of coaching, or lack there of. And in the 28 years since, I’ve never heard him address it. K is win at all cost, nothing else.
And if you can’t win just curl up on the court and call it a year. Losses won’t count on your record if you just bail on your shitty team.

You're right, but in Cal's defense, Cal has said numerous times that he has messed up or that he needs to coach better, or something to that affect. K and his ego and narcissism will not admit it. If I never K's name or Duke mentioned again, I would be a happy man.

I dislike the guy and despise Duke, but how would anyone in their right mind question his coaching? Not an individual coaching decision, but his full body of work?

Cal has been called Swaggy Cal at times but it was because he was bragging on his team not himself and his accomplishments. That is the big difference. I honestly don't recall him ever bragging on himself and that was on full display when he had his players come on stage with him when he was inducted into the HOF.

Nobody did he just brought it up in his press conference after beating NC State last night. I assume because he didn't think they deserved any negative feedback for losing 3 of 4 prior to that game.

Guys I dont know how to go back and dig up old posts but I made a prediction back when the conversation centered around Duke and Ks new one and done movement starting to eat into our own and it went something like this.

Give it a couple of years and if K is not winning actual titles as a result of the new philosophy the following will start to happen . . .
1. The fans well get restless because they forfieted their Dukie family way for one and done.
2. K will start to get defensive from the grumbling he hears about not winning enough titles.
3. With the honeymoon over K gets tired of the pressure to keep up recruiting, kissing teenagers rears to come there for a year, and the gans grumbling and moves on to the NBA or other venture.

This is why I have completely zero respect for him or anything involved with him. Phony just isn't a big enough word for him. Fraud isn't either. He is completely nauseating and devoid of any integrity.
College basketball will be much more enjoyable when he leaves coaching. The sport will be so much better off.

So all of those punks he had playing for him that he did nothing to correct or discipline are ok? His berating players from other teams for enjoying their teams victories and then lying that he did it, sure is classy.
His full body of work includes many punks and very shady dealings that are never questioned or investigated. He is second ony to BK in being classless.

I hate K as much of as the next guy, but I don't think it is the coaches job or brings the coaches integrity into question for not benching someone like that. It is on the Ref's for not throwing him out of the game of course, but if you are coaching a team and the guy who hasn't missed a jump shot all night does that and gets away with it are you really gonna bench him the rest of the game? I think a coaches job is to maybe take him out to calm him down but why would the coach basically eject his own player?

Of course it’s the refs job, and they blew it big time. I will just agree to disagree about the rest.
